After all, Moros's strength and influence could not be overlooked. His existence had always been a factor on this planet that could not be ignored.
Communication with Mobius
Mu Continent, First Research Institute under Moth to Fire.
Dr. Mobius, with waist-length green hair and a white lab coat characteristic of researchers, stood before a dissection table, busily at work.
Before her lay nothing more than a corpse—no matter how terrifying it had been in life, at this moment, it was merely a corpse in a dissection room.
"Humans... why must they cling to only one form?"
Mobius's question received no answer.
Nor was there anyone in this dissection room who could provide one.
The research she was currently conducting had not received permission from the Moth to Fire Council. To protect the one who understood her, Mobius had deliberately kept Klein out of it.
Just as Mobius had reached the midpoint of dissecting the corpse before her, she suddenly stopped what she was doing.
She turned around, casually letting down her pale green hair that had been tied behind her head, while carefully using her body to conceal the tool she had just been holding.
"Elysia? This isn't somewhere you should be."
Whether it was Elysia's uniquely distinctive way of applying for an insignia, the remarkable strength she had displayed, or her mysterious connection with Moros, all of it was enough to make Mobius keep a close eye on her.
Elysia did not answer immediately.
She tilted her head and examined the corpse on the dissection table, as though pondering something.
"The Second Herrscher... Mobius, the research application you submitted still hasn't been approved, has it?"
Elysia quietly rose onto her toes—she was not used to looking up at someone while speaking, even if it was only by a little.
