After handing the Holy Light Cannon, along with several other blueprints, to Maurice, Benjamin rubbed his woozy head and left the magical artifacts department like a student walking out of an examination hall.
The contents of every blueprint were exceedingly complex. After so many days, quite a few gaps and errors had appeared in Benjamin's memory. Fortunately, Maurice had originally learned The Church's techniques in secret; as Benjamin recited, Maurice helped correct him. Only after spending quite some time did they finally recreate all the designs in full.
"These blueprints could be called The Church's highest secrets. Back then, I wasn't even qualified to glimpse them," Maurice said with a sigh. "Just how did you get your hands on them?"
"It was nothing. Just good luck."
In the past, turning over these blueprints would absolutely have made them the magical artifacts department's foremost priority. But now, with the research into Fusion Runes, the blueprints no longer seemed quite so significant.
Thus, they would devote part of their efforts to manufacturing these strategic weapons, but even more effort would go toward researching powerful magical artifacts that ordinary people could use.
Their current achievement was merely a defensive artifact. Once they developed offensive weapons in the future and could mass-produce them, the Academy's Dark Division's combat strength would certainly rise to a terrifying level.
Benjamin could not help considering whether they should begin recruiting some mercenaries as well.
Of course, these matters could only be handled gradually; there was no point in being anxious. The branch schools had not even been fully settled yet, so for now, he would let the magical artifacts department work on their research there at a leisurely pace.
