Fuck...
The sight gave Benjamin and Dick quite a fright.
It looked like a human being, as though he were still alive, still moving. Benjamin cautiously approached, only to discover that the man's eyes were tightly shut. He seemed to have fallen into some kind of coma and possessed no conscious awareness.
And judging by his clothes, he was a mercenary, wasn't he?
Benjamin found it utterly inconceivable.
They had merely stumbled into the bottom of this abyss and encountered ghosts and spatial rifts. How had they also happened to run into a mercenary flying out of one of those rifts? Was it a coincidence? Or did this sort of thing actually happen every day in this godforsaken place?
The system immediately revealed the results of its scan.

However, while Benjamin was still tearing his hair out over it, the surrounding ghosts suddenly began to move.
Their translucent bodies drifted as they slowly "swam" toward the unconscious mercenary. Before long, around a dozen ghosts had gathered around him, completely enveloping him. They seemed to form a massive cocoon, with a faint white glow emanating from within.
Through the cocoon's translucent shell, Benjamin saw a strange delight suddenly appear on the mercenary's face—so delighted that it was almost lewd.
Then, the mercenary visibly began to age. His dark brown hair gradually turned white, while wrinkles crawled across his face one
