At first, he simply flew north, killing every undead creature he encountered and collecting their corpses to bring back to the academy for research. After exploring for more than half a day, they left the wasteland and flew into an endless swamp.
Whenever they approached the swamp, more undead creatures crawled out of the mud-like ground, baring their fangs and claws as they glared at them. This was probably the instinctive hatred the dead held for the living, as the legends said.
Yet Benjamin had never managed to make heads or tails of these countless varieties of undead creatures.
