When the old man was completely submerged, his Mind Arts could no longer hold. All the illusions in Benjamin's mind vanished, and clarity returned.

He opened his eyes and looked at the old man floundering endlessly in the water, already incapable of fighting back. He shook his head.
As long as one found the right method, subduing an overseas priest was quite simple. However, after giving it some thought, Benjamin did not spare the old man's life for interrogation. Instead, he watched the man struggle with cold eyes, watched his body sink bit by bit.

Thus, several minutes later, the old man drowned inside the enormous water tank formed from solid ice. Then, a phantom of spiritual power rose from his body, flickering as though it were about to turn into a ghost.
Benjamin drew a rune, wanting to see whether he could recreate what had happened last time. Unfortunately, the rune showed no reaction. The old man's ghost, however, was nearly taking shape, even beginning to emit bursts of piercing, eerie noises that sent chills down the spine.
Benjamin had no choice but to dispel his magic, scattering the ice and water and allowing sunlight to shine down directly from the sky.
"Ah—!"
After a scream, the spirit body dissipated beneath the blazing sunlight. The old man's drenched corpse also landed on the ground with a wet smack, unable to stir up any more trouble.
Benjamin returned to the brother and sister.
"You know this man?"
