"Headmaster, this is the latest report from the Undead World expedition team. Please look it over when you have time."
Having more or less finished testing the water elemental spirit's abilities, Benjamin recalled it into the Consciousness Space and returned to the headmaster's office in high spirits. Not long afterward, Wallis entered and placed a report on his desk.
Benjamin nodded at this.
"Got it. Go on with your work."
With that, Wallis turned and left the headmaster's office. Benjamin picked up the report and opened it with great interest.
A month ago, he had assigned the task of exploring the Undead World to Miles and several idle mages. They had set out with a vast quantity of supplies, clearly intending on a long-term expedition. They would not turn back until they had uncovered some secrets. Since Benjamin did not need to go personally, he was naturally happy to take it easy.
Of course, as feedback, they sent back a report every week describing what they had seen and heard in the Undead World.
The previous reports had contained much the same things Benjamin had encountered during his last visit: attacks by undead, skeletons and zombies crawling out of the ground, and the like. None of it had caused them much trouble, so Benjamin had merely glanced through the reports and set them aside without giving them much thought.
However, this time, not long after opening the report, his expression changed slightly as he read.
