Hearing this, Old Madam thought for a moment and said, "You mean that grandson of mine who studies divine arts?"
Benjamin nodded.
"What happened to him?"
"The destruction of the Riser Family... was entirely on his orders." Benjamin lowered his voice and said slowly, "Even now, I still don't understand why he became like this."
As for the true cause of Claude's death, he could not bring himself to tell Old Madam.
Yet upon hearing this, Old Madam merely gave an "Oh," without showing much emotion. Although Benjamin knew she had lost her memories of the past, he was still taken aback by her reaction.
"Grandma, you... aren't sad?"
"I don't remember anything." Old Madam tilted her head, her expression so ordinary it was almost bored. "Young people these days are all far too capable. Who would care what old folks like us are thinking?"
"But you're still his elder! If he knew you were alive, and that you're a mage, perhaps... the situation might change."
"I wouldn't dare, I wouldn't dare." Old Madam showed a slightly mocking expression and drawled, "You're my grandson too. If I told you to shut down that Magic Academy of yours, would you?"
"..."
Benjamin had no answer.
Once again, he had underestimated how difficult it was to deal with Old Madam. What was even stranger was why she hated the Magic Academy so much. Was it just because she had been turned away when she came to visit?
"Headmaster, she is still in the recovery stage of her mental strength. You need not take what she says too seriously." The mage beside them stepped in to smooth things over. "In a few more years, once the backlash from the forbidden spell has mostly faded, she will return to normal and remember everything that
