Background

Jiang Feng transmigrated into the body of a low-ranking Benevolent Heart Medicine Hall apprentice at the moment its original owner died from rage and humiliation. The predecessor's childhood sweetheart, Li Yue, had been seized and abused by Wu Han, and his attempt to seek justice led to him being beaten nearly to death. Jiang Feng inherited the resulting enmity and a workload increased severalfold. 1

He was relegated to a leaking shack beside the communal dormitory, formerly used as a dog kennel. While living there, he discovered the Heaven Rewards Diligence panel, which transformed his sustained effort into cultivation progress, skill proficiency, temporary auras, and rare enhancement points. 3

Appearance

Jiang Feng is a thin young man with a handsome, refined face, a firm and spirited gaze, and a complexion that can appear pale after severe blood-qi depletion. His cultivation produces a defined, muscular physique, though his body bears numerous wounds and scars from Black Wind Mountain. 10 23 36

  • His chest carries pitch-black, writhing markings left by an evil spirit's possession. 31
  • The curse mark visibly faded after his breakthrough to the eighth layer of the Blood-Moving Realm. 32
  • When manifesting blood-qi, his body emits a dense crimson radiance. 22

Personality

Jiang Feng is diligent, pragmatic, and intensely focused on improving his circumstances. He uses every spare moment to cultivate, study alchemy, or refine his skills, trusting the panel's daily settlements to turn sustained work into tangible advancement. 3 13 14

He is also controlled and calculating under pressure. He deceives Xue Zhao to conceal his cultivation, redirects Fan Qingyang's accusation by questioning Fan's own presence at the crime scene, and ignores provocations rather than giving enemies an opening. 4 6 15

His compassion is conditional on self-preservation. Once he recognizes an immediate threat, Jiang Feng is willing to set traps, kill attackers, and refuse protection to people who previously sought to harm him. 18 23 26

Abilities & Skills

Heaven Rewards Diligence Panel

A system panel that evaluates Jiang Feng's daily effort and grants rewards based on the result. It is the foundation of his unusually rapid advancement. 3

  • Grants proficiency increases for cultivation methods, professional skills, and other practiced abilities. 3 13
  • Can reward cultivation-enhancement auras that accelerate progress for a limited duration. 3 31
  • Rarely grants enhancement points, which can break realm bottlenecks or raise a cultivation method directly to its next stage. 3 4
  • Attribute-point rewards are luck-dependent rather than guaranteed. 3

Exquisite Breathing Method

An internal cultivation method Jiang Feng acquired shortly after his encounter with Li Muxue. It is substantially more complex than the Medicine Hall's standard Iron Stake Technique. 3

  • At Minor Success, it becomes instinctive enough to continue cultivating even when he is not consciously circulating it. 21
  • Greatly strengthens and regulates his blood-qi. 21
  • Supports blood-qi manifestation through his limbs and weapon strikes. 21 22

Iron Stake Technique

A basic physique-tempering internal method used by Medicine Hall apprentices. Jiang Feng raises it to Great Success through continuous practice and settlement rewards. 3 13

  • Strengthens his waist, abdomen, legs, overall physical force, and control over his musculature. 27
  • At Great Success, he can maintain its cultivation state while walking normally. 15
  • Provides the stable stance and bodily resilience he relies on in close combat. 27 38

Golden Armor Technique

A second-grade lower-tier martial skill recovered from Sun Bowei's possessions. It trains both blood-qi circulation and physical endurance through external tempering with materials such as iron sand. 32

  • Produces a golden luster or patterns across Jiang Feng's skin when activated. 38 42
  • Greatly improves resistance to blunt force and blood-qi attacks. 38
  • Allows him to endure Liu Mo's full-force strike and counterattack successfully. 38

Alchemy and Herbal Knowledge

Jiang Feng possesses exceptional memory and practical familiarity with medicinal materials, earning Song Huai's approval despite beginning as an ordinary apprentice. 11

  • Identifies common and rare herbs, including Rhodiola Powder and Shadow Mist Herb. 11
  • Memorizes the Blood-Qi Pill prescription and assists Song Huai by preparing ingredients at the required moment. 12 48
  • Successfully participates in Blood-Qi Pill refinement and develops into a Tier 1 Alchemist. 13 15
  • Song Huai considers him a natural alchemical talent who is only one step from becoming a true alchemist. 47

Combat and Survival

Jiang Feng compensates for inferior status and repeated ambushes through preparation, terrain use, and decisive violence. 18 21

  • Sets a decoy trap in his cabin and kills Sun Zhongli and Sun Zhongheng when they attempt to poison him. 18
  • Uses manifested blood-qi and the Ghost-Head Blade to defeat the eighth-layer Sun Bowei. 22
  • Kills the Chang Ghost possessing and controlling the expedition's apprentices. 27 31
  • Learns that life-blood can harm the evil spirit, but the victory leaves him possessed and cursed. 27

Transmigration and Hidden Cultivation

After inheriting the original Jiang Feng's grievances, Jiang Feng discovers the Heaven Rewards Diligence panel and secretly cultivates from his shack. Black Wind Mountain Incident

Forced onto a medicinal-herb expedition led by Fan Qingyang, Jiang Feng recognizes the trip as an assassination attempt. He kills the Sun Brothers, advances to the seventh layer, defeats Sun Bowei, and executes Fan Qingyang after learning of his role in Li Yue's abduction. 17 18 21 22 23

Chang Ghost and Evil Spirit Curse

At the mountain outpost, Jiang Feng exposes the “resurrected” Fan Qingyang as a possessed corpse and fights the Chang Ghost controlling the apprentices. He destroys it using life-blood, but the evil spirit enters his body and leaves a spreading curse mark on his chest. 25 26 27 31

Guard Assessment and Alchemy Boy Position

Jiang Feng returns alone to the Medicine Hall, proves his seventh-layer cultivation through blood-qi manifestation, and passes the Guard Assessment by defeating Liu Mo.
