Ch. 539The Real and Fake Red Emperors

After a Demon Wraith devoured Vera’s Red Emperor story and defeated her in Verdant Garden, Vera revealed she had survived and sent Vif to summon Garos from the Material Plane. Garos learned what had happened and prepared to travel to the Fey Wilds to help Vera.

  • A Demon Wraith corrupted Verdant Garden, defeated Vera’s Red Emperor form, and devoured the story that gave her power, but Vera’s true body survived.
  • Vera reassured the grieving Fae, explained that the Demon Wraith might return, and sent Vif to find Garos in Crimson Flame Royal City.
  • Disguised as Vera, Vif reached the Material Plane, slipped past Mobel, and found Garos in the Dragonspine Mountains.
  • Garos saw through Vif’s disguise and listened as she described the attack on Verdant Garden and Vera’s request for help.
  • Vif gave Garos Vera’s dragon scale, and Garos agreed to make arrangements before traveling to the Fey Wilds.

Ch. 541The Fey Wilds, Where He Met the Fairy Dragon Again

Garos entered the Fey Wilds by forcibly tearing open Vera’s Planar Portal and found that the plane amplified emotions and could make them affect reality. He reunited with Vera in Verdant Garden and prepared to face the Demon Wraith, while considering whether the Fey Wilds might be worth exploring for the Aura Kingdom.

  • Garos told Sorog and Samantha he was traveling to the Fey Wilds, and Sorog suggested evaluating it as a possible place for the Aura Kingdom to expand.
  • When Vera’s Planar Portal proved too small for him, Garos used his three-headed, six-armed form to tear open the passage and enter Verdant Garden.
  • The Fae welcomed Garos as the Red Emperor from Vera’s stories, and he observed that the Fey Wilds amplified emotions and allowed them to affect the environment.
  • Garos shrank to avoid harming the Fae and reunited with Vera, teasing her about portraying him as her avatar and blaming her stories for attracting the Demon Wraith.
  • Vera admitted responsibility for spreading the stories, and Garos vowed to crush the Demon Wraith when it appeared.

Ch. 542Demon Wraith: I Am the Red Emperor, I Am the True Red Emperor!

Garos explored the Verdant Garden, learned how its emotion-infused fruits reflected the Fey Wilds’ nature, and proposed cooperation between the Aura Kingdom and kind fae settlements. When Mosiro returned to claim Vera’s story and declare itself the true Red Emperor, Garos defeated and sealed it, then joined the fae in celebration.

  • Garos sampled the Verdant Garden’s soil, water, and Emotion Fruits, while Vera explained how fae emotions shaped the fruits and the Fey Wilds’ regions.
  • Garos proposed trade and mutual protection between the Aura Kingdom and kind fae settlements, and Vera excitedly shared the offer with the fae.
  • Mosiro returned to Verdant Garden in the Red Emperor’s form and attacked Garos, who revealed his true form and repeatedly shattered the Demon Wraith.
  • Garos fought Mosiro’s two-headed, four-armed form with Thunderflame Spears, adapted to its Demon Swords, and sealed its remnants with Life Reaping and Spell-Annihilating Claws.
  • Vera reclaimed the Red Emperor Stories and strengthened the seal around Mosiro, after which Garos stored the sealed sphere and the fae began a celebration.

Ch. 543Fey Wilds: Oil and Dance

Garos explored the Wailing Woods, discovered emotion-rich Sticky Goo that might benefit the Aura Kingdom, and returned to the Verdant Garden as Vera brought back Hollis, its wary human guardian. After Garos addressed Hollis’s concerns and learned about the Netheril Magic Empire, Hollis agreed to join cautious cooperation, and the Fae began celebrating.

  • Garos entered the Wailing Woods with Vif, observed its hostile creatures and emotion-fed orchard, and collected a Fruit of Anger for study.
  • Garos found a pool of Sticky Goo and inferred that its emotional energy might stimulate minds and give alchemical creations a Machine Soul.
  • Vera returned to the Verdant Garden with Hollis, who confronted Garos over the danger of exploiting the trusting Fae.
  • Garos acknowledged Hollis’s caution, and Hollis described leaving the Netheril Magic Empire because its spellcasters treated people without magical talent as prey.
  • Hollis agreed that the Verdant Jungle could join careful cooperation with Garos and the Verdant Garden, and Garos called for a celebratory banquet.

Ch. 544The Source of Frenzied Flame, a Dangerous Planet

Garos feasted with the fae, made trade and defense agreements, and discovered that Frenzied Flame became easier to suppress in the Fey Wilds. After returning to the Material Plane, he suspected its source lay there, while a distant planet appeared as a realm consumed by Frenzied Flame.

  • Garos celebrated with Vera, Hollis, and fae guardians, then agreed to trade Material Plane goods for Emotion Fruit and to clear Sticky Goo in exchange for Black Oilfield locations.
  • Garos tested Fruit of Anger in the Wailing Woods and found Frenzied Flame cycles accelerated and its resistance weakened in the Fey Wilds.
  • Garos returned to Verdant Garden and invited Vera to visit the Aura Kingdom, but Vera stayed to protect the habitat entrusted to her.
  • Garos returned to the Material Plane, where Frenzied Flame resisted him again, and he suspected its source was there.
  • A distant planet was revealed to be filled with blood-eyed, frenzied creatures, while controlled beings mined blood-red ore and hurled it into spatial rifts.

Ch. 545Aura Holds the Advantage!

Garos and Sorog discussed developing the Fey Wilds, securing the Lain Plateau, and the threat posed by the Orcs before turning to Aura’s plans for growth. Garos later spoke with Nasha and Alberto, who had reached the Legendary Realm, and invited them to help develop a place that would not violate the Dragon Realm’s rules.

  • Garos briefed Sorog on the Fey Wilds, and they planned to build a stable planar passage with help from Vera and the Fae.
  • Sorog reported that Aura was suppressing resistance on the Lain Plateau and preparing to build a new royal capital on the Dusk Plains.
  • Sorog showed Garos how Holden’s Floating City had destroyed Orc fleets, and Garos concluded that their destruction spared Aura from another threat.
  • Garos urged Sorog to focus on strengthening Aura rather than claiming an advantage, then returned to training while Sorog prepared the Planar Portal.
  • Nasha and Alberto contacted Garos from the Dragon Realm and complained about restrictions on Legendary dragons interfering in other nations’ wars.
  • Garos invited Nasha and Alberto to join a development project in a place that could entertain them without breaking the Dragon Realm’s prohibition.

Ch. 546The Red Emperor's Twelve Children and Another Dragon King

Garos reviewed his new death-defying abilities, trained, and reunited with his children and companions as the Aura Kingdom expanded and prospered over the following decades. By 461, the Helmode Dragon Brood had landed on the western coast and founded the Braketon Kingdom.

  • Garos concluded that his new Eternal Death Pathway skill gave him several ways to survive death, then trained his lungs on a mountaintop.
  • Deborah, Alberto, Nasha, and Isanora returned from the Wave-Subduing Dragon Realm, and Garos told them about Vera's exploits in the Fey Wilds.
  • Nasha playfully attacked Garos at night, and Deborah joined them as the three dragons settled together on the mountain.
  • In 420, the Aura Kingdom moved its capital to the Lain Plateau, and Garos entered the Mature Dragon stage; in 421, the kingdom completed a portal to the Fey Wilds and began its development project.
  • Over the following decades, the Aura Kingdom prospered, and Garos had twelve biological children with Zolaya, Nasha, Deborah, and Anqiya.
  • In 461, the Helmode Dragon Brood landed at Storm Cape and declared the founding of the Braketon Kingdom, also known as the Thunder Kingdom.

Ch. 547The Floating City Falling to Earth

Garos assessed the Fury Curse spreading through the war between the Elves and Orcs, then spoke with Lamorien about the Braketon Kingdom’s victory over the Anti-Dragon Alliance and a possible move into the Central Continent. Their conversation was interrupted when a tower fell from a Holden Floating City, which began to tilt and descend toward the earth.

  • Garos reflected on how the Fury Curse had spread through the Orotara Continent as Elves and Orcs fought, and recalled that he had mastered his own Frenzied Flame.
  • Garos used psionic power with Frenzied Flame to ignite invisible rage in a target and considered how the Mind Pathway helped him control his thoughts.
  • Lamorien contacted Garos, revealed that the Braketon Kingdom had crushed the Anti-Dragon Alliance, and proposed that their kingdoms turn toward the Central Continent.
  • Garos questioned Lamorien’s claim that Holden would ignore an invasion of its abandoned surface lands and decided he would not risk provoking the Floating Cities.
  • Garos and Lamorien noticed a tower falling from a Holden Floating City, which began to shake and tilt toward the earth.

Ch. 548Gabriel Ignas, Son of Gold and Red

Garos watched a Floating City crash into the Central Continent and heard Lamorien urge him to exploit Holden’s apparent weakness. He then spoke with his son Gabriel and told Orvis about the disaster, asking whether anything had happened in the Raging Tide Dragon Realm.

  • Garos witnessed a Floating City fall and saw a brief flash of violet-black corruption among its wreckage.
  • Lamorien claimed Holden’s Abyssal exploitation had allowed nightmares to take root and proposed that their dragons invade the Central Continent from two directions; Garos reserved judgment.
  • Garos contacted the Wave-Subduing Dragon Realm, where Orvis complained that Gabriel had made himself the adolescent dragons’ self-appointed hero and assigned them villainous roles.
  • Garos told Orvis about the fallen Floating City and asked whether the Raging Tide Dragon Realm had faced trouble after the Helmode Dragon Brood defeated the Kingdom Alliance.

Ch. 549The Stairway of Chaos Was Laid

Garos learned that Abyssal Rifts were erupting across Bernardo and that the Bronze Dragon King had been gravely wounded, then received Holden’s announcement abandoning the Central Continent after Cloudsky City’s crash created a new Rift. He ordered an expedition south, intensified intelligence gathering, and demanded that Romania’s subject nations submit to his authority as the world approached a continent-wide upheaval.

  • Orvis told Garos that the Salo Abyss had erupted, the Bronze Dragon King was gravely injured, and a Primordial Dragon had fallen while fighting the Demons.
  • Garos discussed the looming crises with Sorog, Samantha, and Gordon, then ordered a capable vanguard south and a broad effort to gather intelligence about Holden.
  • A continent-wide message from Holden revealed that Cloudsky City had descended after its Plane Stabilizer shattered, creating an Abyssal Rift, and that the empire was relinquishing its claims to the Central Continent.
  • Garos ordered Romania’s nations to sign a wartime treaty requiring complete obedience to his will, with bloodshed for those who refused.

Ch. 550In the Name of the Father, Explosive-Scale Iron Dragon, True-Eyed Blue Dragon

Aura Kingdom ordered the Romanian States to unite under the Red Emperor’s wartime command, and the rulers agreed as the continental crisis deepened. Galkro’s scouting party found an organized Abyssal Legion fortifying the vast rift at Holden Floating City’s crash site and turned back to report to the Red Emperor.

  • Aura Kingdom demanded that the Romanian States send authorized envoys to sign the Wartime Unification Treaty, and the kingdoms and city-states publicly agreed to obey the Red Emperor.
  • Galkro led Salia, Heloise, and Tammuel toward the Central Continent to investigate the disaster, and Heloise spotted demons approaching their flight path.
  • The Emperor’s Children killed the attacking demons and continued toward the crash site using Heloise’s detection and Salia’s concealment.
  • Galkro’s party discovered that demons were organized around the expanding Abyssal Rift, building fortifications from abyssal matter and debris from Holden Floating City.
  • Galkro ordered the dragons to retreat to the Red Emperor Royal City and report their findings to the Red Emperor.

Ch. 551Romanian Unified State, a Legendary Monk from the Eastern Land

The Romanian States unified under Garos Ignas and prepared to march south against the expanding Abyssal Rift in Middle-earth. An envoy from the Eastern Alliance then proposed a continent-wide partnership, leaving Garos to decide whether to join forces against the Demons.

  • Torifen pledged Theo’s support to Garos Ignas, and the Romanian kings signed a wartime unification treaty under Aura’s leadership.
  • Galkro reported that Demons were building organized defenses around the expanding Middle-earth rift and warned that stronger Demons might be directing them.
  • Garos Ignas summoned the Northern Frontier Legion and declared that the Romanian States would march south toward Middle-earth.
  • Garos received Blady, a Legendary Monk representing the Farrell Kingdom, who explained that the Eastern Alliance and Sarud States planned to fight the Demon crisis together.
  • Blady warned that multiple Abyssal Rifts across the continent were expanding and proposed cooperation, while acknowledging that the allied states would later compete over the Central Continent.

Ch. 552The True Dragon Emperor's Alternate Dimension

Garos agreed to join the Eastern Alliance, Southern Domain, and Western Domain in a wartime coalition against the Abyssal Rift, while appointing Sorog to represent the Northern Frontier. After Lamorien proposed that they turn against humanity once the war ended, Garos withheld commitment and focused on perfecting a devastating new attack.

  • The Monk presented the coalition’s shared command framework and wartime contract, and Garos agreed to cooperate against the Demons.
  • Garos appointed Sorog as the Northern Frontier’s representative and ordered the region’s kings to remain united and obey him.
  • Garos tested his newly created Dragon Emperor’s Alternate Dimension attack in a barren Small World and resumed training after interrupting it to take Lamorien’s call.
  • Lamorien confirmed that the Western Domain had joined the coalition and proposed that he and Garos attack humanity’s Crown Ranks after the Abyssal war.
  • Garos told Lamorien he would assess the situation later, recognizing that Lamorien mistook his pursuit of personal power for a desire to restore dragon rule.
  • Garos returned to training his new attack, aiming to master it before Destiny Rank Demons could pass through the Rift.

Ch. 553Archdemon of the Abyss

Viresika commanded a demon legion holding a fortress around a widening rift in the Borderlands, while the Material Plane’s armies gathered nearby. She explained that the legion was expendable and had to hold the rift until stronger Abyssal forces could descend, then ordered her troops to wait for the enemy to attack.

  • Viresika surveyed the completed fortress and its assembled demon legion, confident it could withstand a siege.
  • Hekas urged Viresika to let him lead a force out to hunt, but she explained that enemy armies were converging from several directions and warned him against acting impulsively.
  • Viresika told Hekas that their mission was to hold the rift and shed blood to stabilize it, enabling Archdemons and their lord to descend.
  • Viresika recalled Holden’s past victories against the Abyss and predicted the empire would fall when the Demon King and the full Abyssal legions arrived.
  • Viresika ordered Hekas to keep the legion alert, repel small scouting parties with ranged attacks, and avoid engaging large forces until they attacked the fortress.

Ch. 554The First Battle Is the Decisive Battle, and All Four Sides Converge (Happy New Year)

The four coalition armies surrounded the Abyssal Rift and their leaders agreed to attack before stronger Demons could cross. After discussing the danger of damaging the unstable rift and the possibility of a Demon Lord behind the invasion, Garos Ignas and the other leaders launched their coordinated advance.

  • The Romanian Northern Legion crossed the Uniel Mountains as Garos Ignas, Sorog, and Samantha learned that the four coalitions would attack independently from four directions.
  • The four armies took their positions around the Abyssal Rift, with Garos Ignas, Lamorien, Varta Cedric, and Aphra Russell representing their fronts.
  • Aphra warned that a Demon General could arrive within three days and an Archdemon within a month, while she and Varta cautioned Garos against using his Dragon Aura Bomb near the unstable rift.
  • Aphra concluded that at least a Demon Lord stood behind the invasion, and the leaders agreed to probe the fortress, draw out the Demon Generals, and destroy the rift.
  • Garos rallied his adult Emperor's Children, and at noon the next day the four armies sounded their horns and advanced on the Demon Fortress.

Ch. 555He Was More Demonic Than the Demons: The Three-Headed, Six-Armed Red Emperor

Garos Ignas and the Romanian coalition launched a four-front assault on the Demon Fortress, steadily overpowering the Demon armies. The chapter left Garos in his three-headed, six-armed battle form, looming over the fortress after his charge struck its magical shield.

  • Garos Ignas ordered the northern army forward as the Romanian coalition attacked the Demon Fortress from all four directions.
  • The Emperor's Children, including Galkro, Salia, Gerald, and Laria, fought through the Demon ranks while Aura's forces and their allies advanced across the battlefield.
  • Elvie used her holy arrows to aid Legendary Realm allies, and the coalition pushed the Demon armies back toward the fortress walls.
  • A Berserker Demon General charged Elvie, but Garos descended and carried it into the northern wall's magical shield.
  • Garos clung to the cracked shield in his three-headed, six-armed battle form, terrifying the Demons gathered behind it.

Ch. 556Leveling the Abyss Single-Handedly!

Garos defeated the Berserker Demon General and helped the allied forces push the demons to the brink of defeat, but the Six-Armed Serpent Demon sacrificed lives to summon an Abyssal Archdemon. Garos unleashed Dragon Emperor, Other Dimension, erasing the rift and fortress and stopping the Archdemon from entering the Material Plane.

  • Garos fought the Berserker Demon General, whose Blood Hunger and Blood Echo let it heal and temporarily steal Garos's traits, then destroyed it with six Thunderflame Spears and Dragon Breath.
  • Lamorien, Afra, and Varta gained the upper hand against Demon Generals on the western, southern, and eastern fronts, while the allied armies overwhelmed the demons.
  • The Six-Armed Serpent Demon sacrificed demons inside the fortress, and an altar drew energy from the battlefield's dead to expand the Abyssal Rift and summon an Archdemon.
  • The Legendaries attacked the fortress and Archdemon, but the Archdemon forced its arms through the rift as Garos gathered three streams of Destruction Dragon Breath into a compressed orb.
  • Garos launched Dragon Emperor, Other Dimension, erasing the fortress ruins, the rift, and the Archdemon's exposed limbs in a vast field of nothingness.

Ch. 557Four-Way Division of Middle-earth

After the allied forces defeated the invading Demon Generals, the rival factions faced a possible battle over Central Continent. Garos proposed dividing Middle-earth among four parties, and the leaders agreed in principle before returning to their territories.

  • Varta killed the fleeing Reaper Demon with his Radiant Sun Fist, while Afra purified the other escaping Demon General with holy light.
  • The armies began purifying the battlefield and tending to the wounded as the Legendaries watched one another warily over the unclaimed Central Continent.
  • Garos judged that another battle would be pointless and proposed that the Romanian States, dragons, Southern Domain, and Eastern Alliance each govern one quarter of Middle-earth.
  • Afra and Varta accepted Garos's proposal, and Lamorien also agreed to the four-way division after mocking the humans before revealing he had no intention of fighting them.
  • The Red Emperor returned toward the Northern Frontier, while Lamorien concealed his anger and departed with the Lord of Storms and the Lord of Tides.

Ch. 560Garos's Second-Generation Bloodline

Garos learned that Salia was carrying Galkro’s child, making his bloodline’s second generation imminent, and reassigned her duties while warning Galkro about the risks of his Abyssal Marks. As Garos reflected on his growing family and long-term ambitions, conspirators within the Holden Empire discussed delaying their king’s descent and drawing the empire toward the Abyss.

  • Galkro told Garos that Salia was pregnant, and Garos asked about her condition before deciding she should stop fighting and Galkro should take over her duties.
  • Garos noticed the Abyssal Marks on Galkro and warned him that pursuing power too blindly could let the Abyss consume him; Galkro promised to monitor the marks and stop if they threatened his control.
  • Garos privately asked Salia to watch Galkro’s condition and report any unusual changes.
  • Garos reflected on how quickly his life had changed, his coming grandchild, and his desire to keep growing beyond a thousand years.
  • Abyssal conspirators within the Holden Empire discussed Garos’s power, the loss of the Abyssal Rift, and their plan to delay their king’s descent while spreading the Abyss’s influence.

Ch. 561Qi Burst State, Green Queen

Garos developed Qi Burst State to rapidly unleash his Dragon Qi, but his experiments revealed the danger it posed to his Dragon Jade. In the Red Emperor Royal City, Felista met the Green Dragon Seroel, and Garos confronted her after she revealed herself as the Green Queen of Orotara.

  • Garos used Thought Storm to devise Qi Burst, then tested the state and discovered that its surging energy made his Dragon Jade tremble and could release the energy stored for resurrection.
  • Iseramathus alerted Garos that a Legendary Realm Green Dragon had entered the royal city and encountered Felista.
  • Felista challenged Seroel to a beauty contest, won the crowd’s approval, and claimed Seroel’s unusual green necklace as her prize.
  • Garos approached Seroel in a quiet alley and asked who she was after learning she came from the troubled Orotara Continent.
  • Seroel introduced herself to Garos as the Green Queen.
