As Zeliel pondered, the mage assessment in the arena had already begun.
Ruili took a deep breath and began drawing upon the magic power within his sea of consciousness, sketching out one Spell Structure after another.
The first spell: Fireball.
The second spell: Water Ball.
The third spell: Ice Spike.
Zeliel curled his lip.
They were all spells he had already analyzed...
Show me something new, Ruili.
The fourth spell: Rock Bullet!
As Ruili completed the casting, three stone shells formed from highly compressed soil and rubble condensed before him.
With a wave of Ruili's hand, the three Rock Bullets whistled forth like miniature meteors.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Three successive impacts left clear dents in the ground, scattering stone fragments.
Oh!
At the sight of this spell, Zeliel's eyes lit up.
It was similar to Ice Spike, except Ice Spike could only release one icicle at a time, while Rock Bullet could release three at once.
Though it lacked Ice Burst's special effect, its numbers made up for that. It could be used to suppress enemies with firepower.
Not bad.
The fifth spell: Illumination.
The sixth spell: Stone Wall!
Ruili clapped his palms together, and the ground began to tremble.
Accompanied by a series of cracking sounds, a rough stone wall several dozen centimeters thick and roughly two meters long and wide rose from the ground!
Hiding behind this stone wall made one feel much safer.
Zeliel nodded slightly.
This was another highly practical spell.
If he had known Stone Wall when he faced the Giant-winged Bat, he would have handled things much more calmly. It could effectively defend against the enemy's ranged attacks and hold the line for his companions.
In narrow terrain such as caves, it could also be used to block a path at a critical moment.
