Background / History

Qian Yao first meets Li Long during an exchange arranged at the Papal Palace alongside Qian Yue. Openly introducing herself as a three-ring Soul Elder with the Four-Winged Angel Martial Soul, she immediately questions Li Long about his unusually high-aged Soul Rings, his Iron Rod Martial Soul, and his fight with Qian Yaoting. She is also the first to ask him for practical instruction in force transmission and swordsmanship. 38

Her exchanges with Li Long become more personal over time. She visits the East Courtyard, brings pastries, and remains eager to watch or learn from his battles and training. While Li Long is in seclusion for two years, she periodically checks on the closed East Courtyard; upon hearing of his return, she cuts short a mission and rushes back to see him. 40 48 71 72

Li Long later brings Qian Yao and Qian Yue to the Icefire Yin-Yang Well, intending to use its Immortal Herbs to strengthen them. Qian Yao refines the fire-attributed Cockscomb Phoenix Sunflower, reaches level fifty, and awakens Phoenix Fire compatible with her Angel Martial Soul. 93 94

After stabilizing at the well, she travels with Li Long and Qian Yue to Bright Canyon. Li Long weakens a Light One-Horned Lizard exceeding twenty thousand years, allowing Qian Yao to deliver the finishing strike and claim its Soul Ring. She completes the absorption at level fifty-two and gains Radiant Flame Wings. 96 97

Appearance

Qian Yao is first seen with a high ponytail and a frank, energetic bearing. She commonly carries a cloth bag when visiting or traveling, and after refining the Cockscomb Phoenix Sunflower, golden-red firelight can appear around her body and within her hands. 38 40 93 94

Personality

Qian Yao is lively, straightforward, and naturally sociable. During her first exchange with Li Long, she breaks the silence herself, asks questions in rapid succession, and openly requests demonstrations of staff and sword techniques. She is more interested in practical combat insight than formal distance, even when speaking to Spirit Hall’s Holy Son. 38

She is also emotionally direct. Rather than concealing her relief after Li Long’s seclusion, she rushes to the East Courtyard, examines him closely, and voices her concern that he might disappear into seclusion again for years. 71 72

Despite her impatience for progress, she can persist through difficult training. At the Icefire Yin-Yang Well, she repeatedly practices merging Angel Light with Phoenix Fire without abandoning the effort when the two powers separate. 95
