The weather was fair and sunny, with clear skies stretching for miles. Yet dark clouds blanketed the sky above the Monkey Courtyard, and a hazy drizzle enveloped it. The pale gray rainwater seemed rather eerie.
Within the rain, a pitch-black figure flashed and darted continuously, moving so fast it seemed like Teleportation. Several seconds later, the blurry figure gradually became clear. Floating in midair was an ordinary-looking young man.
At the center of the young man's forehead was a distinctly patterned purple single-horn mark.
As the young man revealed himself, a burly Western-faced man appeared out of thin air some twenty or thirty meters away. His expression was somewhat grave, and undisguised astonishment filled his emerald-green eyes.
"It isn't a soul skill—it's actually a domain!"
The burly man said in surprise.
A domain was an ability that only emperors might possess.
It was a secret art capable of altering the environment, created through a combination of one's soul artifact and martial techniques, demon spirit and soul skills, comprehension of one's elemental attributes, personality, and various other factors.
Within a domain, the domain owner's combat power would rise dramatically. Conversely, enemies would be weakened and restricted at every turn.
As one side waned while the other waxed, the scales of victory would tilt toward the domain owner.
This was a power only emperors could control, yet not every emperor possessed it.
Whether one could possess a domain had little to do with strength. Comprehension mattered more than strength.
Under normal circumstances, out of ten emperors, only two would possess a domain.
It was not only the burly man who was astonished. The people watching underground were equally so.
They clearly had not expected the newcomer to be so formidable, much less to possess a
