I Thought We Were Going to a Hotel!

After watching a late-night movie that ended after midnight, Shen Lang drove Su Lexuan back to the entrance of her school.

"Then I'm heading back?"

Su Lexuan unfastened her seatbelt and asked tentatively.

Shen Lang nodded. "Yeah. Send me a message when you get back to the dorm."

Though he was reluctant, there was nothing he could do.

Su Lexuan couldn't have anything cold today, and she hadn't brought her ID, so they couldn't stay at a hotel. The timing, location, and circumstances—none of them were in his favor.

Shen Lang hadn't really been counting on it either. He had originally just wanted to walk around with Su Lexuan, and perhaps get to know her best friends and roommates along the way.

He and Su Lexuan had known each other for less than two months. None of the groundwork had been laid yet; there was no way she would go to a hotel with him.

But Su Lexuan didn't hurry out of the car. Instead, she puffed out her cheeks and stared at Shen Lang gloomily.

"What's wrong?"

Shen Lang's heart stirred. Could she have something cold today after all? Was there still a chance to go to a hotel?

The next second, Su Lexuan leaned over and lightly pecked him on the cheek. With a haughty snort, she said, "Shen Pig, can't you be more proactive next time? I'm a girl, you know!"

"I'm leaving! Remember to message me when you get home!"

Su Lexuan happily opened the door, humming a cheerful tune as she skipped toward the school gate.

He tapped it open and saw that the photo she had posted was the picture of him and Su Lexuan holding hands beneath Pearl Tower.

Besides the girls, quite a few guys also saw Su Lexuan's post.

Most of them had been Su Lexuan's middle school or high school classmates.

After graduation, Su Lexuan hadn't deleted them out of consideration for their old friendship as classmates.

Before meeting a prettier girl, these guys would still occasionally check in on Su Lexuan, comforting themselves with the slim hope that maybe they still had a chance.

Before posting it, Shen Lang blocked his two silly younger sisters and his parents from seeing it.

Shen Lang's parents had been hoping he would hurry up and find a girlfriend. They didn't care whether she was pretty or not—as long as she was a girl. They practically wished Shen Lang could immediately bring them home a grandchild.

If the old couple saw this comment, they'd definitely come over tomorrow to get to the bottom of it. Just thinking about it felt troublesome.

As for those two silly little sisters, Shen Lang simply didn't want to tell them.
