A Boyfriend's Duties

Tang Yu did not know, but Meng Xuanxuan did. The so-called No Thought, No Mind was a special state one could enter while cultivating. According to legend, when a martial artist entered the state of No Thought, No Mind, their consciousness would separate from their body.

"What happened?" Startled by Meng Xuanxuan, Tang Yu woke from his No Thought, No Mind state and looked at her blankly, not knowing what had happened. Then he saw that the training room was a complete mess. "What happened here?"

Tang Yu still had no idea what had happened and stared at the scene before him in confusion.

"I'm sorry, Tang Yu." Having inadvertently interrupted Tang Yu while he was experiencing the realm of No Thought, No Mind, Meng Xuanxuan looked guilty. But her words only made Tang Yu more confused.

"Why are you apologizing?"

Only when Tang Yu asked that did Meng Xuanxuan realize that he himself did not know he had just entered the realm of No Thought, No Mind.

"Don't you know what just happened?" Meng Xuanxuan pointed at the wrecked training room and asked Tang Yu.

Tang Yu thought back carefully. His consciousness had entered the Black Crystal between his brows, where he had followed the figure inside and learned the techniques for exerting Spiral Force. But he did not know much about what had happened to his body. Thinking about it now, it seemed there had been no one else here besides him.

Tang Yu became somewhat embarrassed. "I should be the one apologizing. I turned your training room into this."

"The state you were just in is known in the records of human martial arts history as No Thought, No Mind. It is a very mysterious state. But this state can only be encountered by chance, never sought after. I shouldn't have disturbed you." A trace of regret showed in Meng Xuanxuan's eyes.

"It's fine!" Hearing her explanation, Tang Yu finally understood what had happened. With the Black Crystal, he did not need to worry about it.

"Can you tell me what it felt like?" Although she could not enter such a state herself, listening to someone else's insights from entering it would still be a valuable gain.

Asked by Meng Xuanxuan, Tang Yu did not know how to explain it to her. The Black Crystal was his secret, and he certainly could not reveal it.

It was rare for Meng Xuanxuan not to be wearing her Magic Sound Headphones today. Tang Yu knew that although Meng Xuanxuan usually looked like a well-behaved girl, she had a rebellious streak deep down. One could tell just from the songs she listened to.

"Really?" No girl disliked being told she was beautiful by someone she liked, and Meng Xuanxuan was no exception.

"Let's go! It's the first day of registration, so we should get there early!" With that, the two got into Angel's Wings.

Asian Military Academy was located in Suhang City, though not in the city center. It stood by the sea, with Suhang City at its back. Once one left the school gates, one could see the ocean. It was said that more than a decade ago, sea beasts had caused havoc. Massive beasts from the deep sea had stirred up towering waves that covered the sky and sea. At that time, several senior instructors from Asian Military Academy joined forces and used only their Origin Force to force back waves dozens of meters high and hundreds of miles wide. In the end, the vice principal took action and drove the entire beast tide back into the deep sea, saving both the academy and Suhang City behind it.

"Do you know why the academy was built by the sea?" After setting Angel's Wings to autopilot, Meng Xuanxuan turned to Tang Yu. Seeing him shake his head, she continued, "Earth has thirty percent land and seventy percent ocean. Land resources are extremely scarce, and many places are unsuitable for human habitation. Suhang City is one of humanity's twenty-one population bases and absolutely cannot be damaged. One of the main reasons Asian Military Academy was built here is to protect the base from monster attacks."

Therefore, even if children from ordinary families scored highly on the college entrance exam, if they had not awakened, they would not dare apply to the three major academies and could only attend private universities.

"Brother Kang, look?" Zhou Kang had just completed his registration and was about to head to his dormitory when one of his lackeys called out to him. Following the direction of the lackey's finger, he spotted Meng Xuanxuan.
