Background

Lin You was originally Qin Xinxin, a High-God and Necromancer Lord of the Qin Family, a divine lineage associated with ghosts and the Underworld. To cement an alliance with Hades' lineage, she was forced into an arranged marriage with Kraken, Hades' son. 839

To escape the marriage, she sealed her own memories and became a Summon in a Lower Plane. Her memories were therefore sealed rather than lost. 839

When first documented under the name Lin You, she was a Lord Rank undead who had forgotten her history. Her status identifies her as the supreme monarch of the dead realm. 61 During the Bottomless Ghost Abyss expedition, she instinctively recognized the place and reunited with Lin Qianqian, who called her “Sister.” 181 182

Lin You entered a dangerous bronze door with Lin Qianqian to reclaim a portion of her strength. Upon returning, she had advanced directly to Emperor Rank and gained several new abilities. 182 183

Though burdened by sealed memories and anxiety over her brother Qin Guang, she reacts without hesitation whenever Lin Yi is endangered. She was willing to release her full strength against Qin Guang herself, despite the risks. 852
