"Investigating any further ahead is bound to be dangerous, but with you here, Link, I feel at ease." Princess Zelda gazed seriously into Link's eyes, and the two continued forward with firm resolve.
This version of Zelda gave everyone a different impression.
At the deepest part of the cave, they encountered the sealed Ganon.
Under Ganon's attack, Zelda fell into the abyss and vanished, while Link was taken away by an arm glowing green.
Link's arm had been corroded by gloom. After being rescued, it changed as well, turning the same eerie blue-green as the arm that had saved him.
It even had blue-green fingernails.
Link woke up in the cave. There was nothing left here—no Ganon, no Zelda. It seemed to be an enclosed space.
Just as Link lowered his head to examine his right hand, an ethereal yet strangely familiar voice echoed through the cave.
"Sir Link, you are finally awake."
"Your hand had decayed and was threatening your life. I had no choice but to resort to this measure."
With that, the voice in the darkness vanished.
A sword was embedded in the ground ahead. Only when Link approached did he discover that the Master Sword had broken. Its blade had been corroded by gloom and was still dissolving away.
"Decayed Master Sword." Yinzi looked at the prompt that appeared on the screen.
This weapon's attack had dropped to 1, making it no different from having nothing at all. Still, it could cut through the rotten vines blocking the cave.
After leaving the cave, Link touched the mechanism outside with his new right hand. The gears began turning heavily, and a stone door in the distance slowly opened.
He had no idea how long he had walked through the cave before finally emerging from its twisting passages.
