Zonai Devices

Yinzi walked out of the cave. The moment he emerged, he saw felled logs scattered all over the ground, along with several head-sized Fans.

A few Steward Constructs stood nearby around several logs, question marks practically hovering over their heads as they had no idea what to do.

"It's here!" Yinzi took a deep breath. The long-awaited tutorial on Energy Cells and Zonai Devices had finally arrived!

"Hello. The raft used to cross the river has broken down. It's left us in quite a dilemma."

"We were supposed to transport resources from the other bank around now."

"Fortunately, the Zonai Devices weren't damaged."

The Steward Construct explained what Zonai Devices were to Yinzi, using the nearby Fans as an example.

The Fans on the ground lay crookedly in a heap.

All he had to do was strike one with a weapon, and it would blow wind whenever he wanted.

To use Zonai Devices, he needed Energy Cells. Once their energy was depleted, they would rapidly recharge on their own whenever Zonai Devices were not in use.

Under the Steward Construct's guidance, Yinzi casually drew a weapon and struck one of the Fans on the ground.

He wanted to see whether he could damage the Fan. That would determine whether he needed to switch to weaker weapons when striking them to activate them.

After a few swings, he discovered that no matter how he slashed at it, it would not break.

One hit turned it on; another turned it off.

A Zonai Device would not be damaged regardless of how powerful the weapon used against it was. Every strike merely served as its switch.
