However, Han Luyi had come determined to secure control over the collaboration. He wondered whether Icecore had the same idea.
The two sides exchanged greetings, introduced themselves, and took their seats.
Icecore's head of process technology was named Ding Yaoxian. He stood up first.
After the initial discussions about cooperating, Icecore had not been idle. A technical team had already taken apart a finished L100, using the original design drawings provided by Source Intelligence as a reference.
Their findings had all been compiled into slides.
The presentation had a distinctly engineering style, with none of the polish typical of internet companies.
A single slide filled the entire screen with a dizzying mass of parameters, line widths, spacing, and metal-layer constraints. Apart from Xue Zhaoheng, who was nearly an expert, everyone on Source Intelligence's side knew next to nothing about any of it.
Ding Yaoxian gestured at the slides as he explained several technical details, then gave his conclusion. "If we port the L100's existing design over, we expect the die area to increase by more than thirty percent, and the target clock frequency will need to drop by ten to twenty percent."
Before coming, Source Intelligence had already agreed not to produce the L100, nor to follow the L100's design approach for the L200.
