The host was Chu Zhuang, the founder of ByteDance Technology.
Ever since stepping down as CEO of ByteDance Technology a few years earlier, he had lived quietly in Singapore, rarely appearing in the media.
Han Luyi had no idea why Chu Zhuang had specifically invited him over this time.

Xu Zhengyang drove the vehicle arranged by the embassy, following the navigation directions to a neighborhood of villas.

Liu Yu explained, "Boss Han, you might not know this, but although Singapore seems to have plenty of housing, most of it is public housing provided by the government. You have to be a Singaporean citizen to live there, and the homes aren't very big." He pointed out the window. "But luxury homes like these are generally only within reach of wealthy foreigners. The property prices are one thing, but there's also a foreign buyer tax of up to forty percent. People say housing in Hong Kong is expensive, but these cost even more than Hong Kong luxury homes of the same size."
He glanced at the mansions outside again and sighed. "Only people like Chu Zhuang-and you-could afford a house here."
