"You go on ahead. I'll behead every last counterfeit."
That was reassurance.
Just blocking that one strike had made his body creak with an ear-piercing groan.
The chase continued. More and more familiar faces from the past turned into Servants and attacked, while an equal number of shadows appeared to intercept them.
Ritsuka's destination was the warehouse. Instinctively, she believed that magic circle was the target.
But someone caught up with her.
"How pathetic..."
"Ally of justice, this is your end. Good thing I stopped being one long ago."
The black Archer glanced at the red Archer gradually fading away on the ground, then pointed his gun at Ritsuka Fujimaru.
"Evil's mortal foe, I shall slay the Evil of Humanity here."
Confusion surfaced in his eyes. Something within the scant remnants of his mind was holding him back.
"But my soul tells me that this side is evil."
Without hesitation, the instant he reached that conclusion, he pressed one gun to his temple and aimed the other at the pursuers.
"Go prove that I'm right, Ritsuka Fujimaru."
Bang!
The shot struck Heracles, who then rammed his sword-pierced body into the enemy ranks.
Even if he was crazy, he was still a handsome god. You could always trust a handsome god.
Under the cover of familiar yet unfamiliar Servants, the battered Ritsuka Fujimaru crashed into the sports equipment warehouse.
She lost her footing and fell, sliding closer to the magic circle.
Pushing herself up, she looked at the pursuers outside the door and bared her teeth in a grin.
After all, it was the only expression she could manage anymore.
Her parents were fake. Her sister was fake. Her classmates were fake. Her teachers were fake. The school was fake too.
Fake, fake, fake...
But I'm real.
If it isn't real, then I'll make it real.
Ritsuka Fujimaru's gaze abruptly hardened, reflecting the charging Heracles, Gilgamesh opening the Gate of Babylon, and the approaching King Hassan.
The red mark on her right hand—the Command Spell—lit up, and the dense shadows beneath her spread along the magic circle.
Unease, confusion, rage, the emotions accumulated throughout her escape all erupted at once.
"Come out!"
the girl screamed.
"Damn it—come out!"
Leon was the first to answer. Crossing the boundary between two worlds, he met King Hassan head-on.
The beheading sword could not advance even half an inch at the very moment it was about to cleave into Ritsuka.
Because Leon brushed past the blade, seized that skull, and effortlessly halted the movement of the three-red Assassin.
Boom!
The impact of his launch sent mats flying, bent the iron racks, and even caved in the double doors.
Leon accelerated through the crowd with King Hassan, forcing a path open. Amid countless airborne Hassans, he crashed into the school building.
Then orderly clouds of dust poured from the windows as the building slowly collapsed.
The second person to enter this world was Superman.
At this point, he had yet to receive his suit with the S emblem on its chest, and was merely making do with a bodysuit.
His eyes were full of shock as he watched Leon charge out.
A fellow clansman? Was an eighteen-year-old really this fierce?
Heracles faced him, and Nine Lives carved several sparks across that muscular body.
At the same time, a beautiful youth with black hair, brown skin, a half-golden crown on his head, and an androgynous sort of beauty slowly emerged from the shadows.
The only flaw was that he could not quite suppress the corners of his mouth.
"No whispers from Them, no disgusting stench. What kind of wonderful place is this?"
What a shame he could not stay long.
Neos raised his eyes and snapped his fingers. A psionic barrier annihilated every projectile fired from the Gate of Babylon.
On a streetlamp, the blond Servant showed a hint of anger.
"You dare treat me, Gilgamesh—"
"You're Gilgamesh? Then who am I?"
Neos recalled the weapons that had flown at him earlier. Why did every single thing seem vaguely familiar?
Could it be that, in this place, this flashy golden fellow had a hand in everything?
Feeling that this was troublesome, he prepared to crush him outright so he could take the reward back for research.
Immediately afterward, realizing the situation had changed, the will of this world finally exerted itself.
A promotion from a group member. Synopsis:
[Azure Island + BT Prison + DL game setting]
[Heavily altered worldline + heavily altered timeline + all romanceable heroines are first-timers]
Before coming to Azure Island, Wagatsuma Haruka had always believed himself to be an utterly unlucky person with nothing at all.
No family worth cherishing, no friends who trusted one another, and aside from a deeply entangled karmic bond he wanted to erase, a fatal lack of connections with the opposite sex.
It was not until he followed his mentor's advice and headed to an isolated island called Azure Island to search for traces of his relatives that he realized the world he had lived in before had been far too real.
"Why is everyone on this island indulging themselves?"
"What is a three-dimensional excitement device?"
After being tempered by the island's atmosphere, Haruka's shattered values—and even his body—gradually became impervious to blades and bullets. Already possessing an invincible bearing, he overturned the torrential RPG storm as a man, tore apart the prison walls with his bare hands, and emerged from the ashes as the figure who had proven injustice, saying calmly:
"Even the BTs who cannot live beneath the sunlight need their savior."
"After all, if I can't make everyone happy, then the title of savior would weep, wouldn't it?"
[A serious story. Please, moderators, be merciful.]
<The island is a grand stage. If you're repressed, come on over!>
The Cards I Whaled for That Year Came Looking for Me
Within this illusion, ever since childhood, Ritsuka Fujimaru had always vaguely felt that her life was only one puzzle piece short of being complete.
Now it seemed that even possessing only that one puzzle piece was enough to count as perfection.
She tore apart her school uniform, revealing the white Mystic Code underneath.
"Thinking about it now, all my memories from childhood onward were forcibly stuffed into me. I should have been trapped in this school all along."
Watching the white figure fly into the air, destroy her cage, and stand suspended overhead.
A strange light flashed in the girl's eyes, and the Command Spells on the back of her hand glowed faintly.
Having three people carry her did not mean she had nothing to do.
As long as she used these Command Spells at the crucial moments...
"King Hassan, are you really this weak? Where did this counterfeit come from?"
His battle skirt fluttered as Leon looked down at the sinking school building.
He moved his arms, confirming that his injuries would not affect the fight.
Honestly, he could no longer make sense of the situation in this world.
Not only because of the Viltrumite education he had undergone, but also because he had quit the game after defeating Goetia.
The ones he remembered most clearly were probably Scathach, his first five-star.
And King Hassan, the five-star he had spent quite a lot of money to pull just before he quit.
"Though it's supposed to be a pursuit across all of human history, it seems the power it can use here isn't nearly as much as I imagined?"
Using his vantage point, Leon swept his gaze across the city district.
It was not just the campus. Everywhere had descended into battles where the Servants were fighting themselves.
Could this actually be a script where the left brain of humanity fought its right brain?
Then little Ritsuka still had quite a few supporters.
Leon's gaze returned to the ruins of the school building.
At the center of the smoke, a point of blue light ignited.
Then blue flames soared skyward, creating an open space. At its center, King Hassan rose to his feet while lifting a broken pillar.
The Servants around him melted away into light and flowed toward him.
They became the enormous shield in his hand and the long thorns behind him.
The same thing was happening around Heracles and Gilgamesh on the other two battlefields.
Ah, so there was Ascension too?
Feeling the surging sense of presence below, Leon's lips curled upward.
"Now that's more like it~"
He shot forward, his fist colliding with the skull giant shield.
Layers of blue flame protection rippled across it, then burst apart amid extreme deformation.
His fist struck the shield's surface, and the impact created in that instant directly cleared away the ruins of the school building.
Bang!
The shield shattered, and the shield-bearing left hand twisted along with it. King Hassan was sent flying.
He planted his sword into the ground to slow himself, then melted into the rising dust.
Clang! A bell rang.
The sound came from all directions around Leon.
"What an intense stench of blood. How many lives have you slaughtered? How many civilizations have you trampled!"
His voice was hollow and resonant, echoing through the swirling dust, as though some will had taken over his body.
"You people even meddle in extraterrestrial affairs?"
Leon raised an eyebrow, then said calmly:
"Still, I have no interest in explaining myself to someone who doesn't dare show his face before me."
His gaze had never stopped tracking King Hassan.
Out of what remained of his conscience, he had tried certain methods, but he had only saved a pitiful few.
And once such actions were discovered, he had to kill them personally before his instructors to prove that it had been negligence rather than disloyalty.
As for escaping, he had considered that too.
But the Regent had placed great importance on their batch of new blood.
From the day he was born until now, the only time he had not had adult Viltrumites around him was these few days after coming to Earth.
