Gap Moon Shadow!
This is a Special Combat Skill attached to the Famous Sword Moon Shadow in Qin Mo's hand. Because it was placed in the equipment slot, Qin Mo could use it skillfully even without knowing the Sword Drawing Technique.
A sharp slash, accompanied by silver-white sword energy, split the approaching Honkai Beast in two.
Qin Mo also immediately moved away from the spot where the Honkai Beast had died.
Watching the Honkai Energy dissipate into the air from the dead Honkai Beast, Qin Mo waited until it had completely vanished before daring to approach. He didn't want to rush and get infected by Honkai Energy, which would lead to his downfall.
After checking his body and finding no Honkai Energy contamination, Qin Mo breathed a sigh of relief, put away his weapon, and prepared to leave.
"Who are you!?"
A voice suddenly came from above him. A white figure descended from the sky. White hair styled into two braids, azure pupils, and a baseball bat in hand – these distinct features made Qin Mo instantly recognize the identity of the person.
"Kiana!"
"Huh? How do you know me?"
Kiana had originally sensed the aura of Honkai and rushed over. Then she heard faint gunshots, so she jumped onto the rooftop and rapidly leaped across the sky to get here.
She hadn't expected to meet someone who knew her.
"Huh!? Did you forget? It's me, Qin Mo."

Chapter 6: First Meeting with Kiana
Qin Mo had already done a lot of preparation. He had thought about how to build a good relationship with Kiana when they met. After much thought, he chose to lie.
The Kiana before him, or rather K423, was a clone, but she didn't know it. Siegfried, Kiana's father, that fool, because his biological daughter was missing and K423 had amnesia, he projected his longing for his daughter onto K423. Thus, he gave K423 his daughter's name, leading the current Kiana to believe she had amnesia.
This way, there was a lot of room for manipulation.
"Even though it's been ten years, I recognized you immediately with your familiar white hair and eyes."
Ten years... Kiana only had memories for the past eight years.
Although not explicitly stated, Kiana, under this misdirection, subconsciously assumed that Qin Mo was someone she knew before her amnesia.
However, it wasn't stable enough yet, and there were still many doubts.
So Qin Mo seized the opportunity and said, "How did you end up here? You and Uncle Siegfried suddenly moved away without saying goodbye to me. I thought I'd never see you again."
"After all, I only lived there for two years back then. I didn't see you return even when I left."
"Right, where's Uncle Siegfried?"
His tone was like that of old friends reuniting, coupled with a series of interlocking questions. These were all things Qin Mo had practiced for a long time. Even his expression showed no flaws, perfectly conveying the emotions of someone meeting a childhood friend.
At the same time, he exploited Kiana's guilt to make her misjudge the situation.
Just as Qin Mo had predicted, Kiana was now very flustered.
Ten years ago? I've only had memories for eight years. Could it be a friend from before my amnesia?
And he knows Dad too. He should... really be an acquaintance.
"Ahaha, how could I possibly forget? Qin Mo, right? Long time no see."
Hearing Kiana's very guilty voice, Qin Mo secretly chuckled but then put on a questioning expression: "You brat, you completely forgot about me, didn't you!"
"H-how could I? It's just been so long since we last met, I didn't react immediately."
Kiana said guiltily. She still couldn't hide her inner thoughts at all.
"Then do you remember what you said when we were kids, that you'd be my bride when we grew up?"
"Eh..."
My childhood self! What are you doing!
"Of course, I remember, but what a child says... how..."
"Okay, I'm sure now. You really did forget me!"
Qin Mo interrupted Kiana directly, looking at her with dead eyes. "You never said that. Back then, you only played outside for a short while before going back to learn Kaslana Gun Fu from Uncle Siegfried. You said you wanted to become the strongest Valkyrie, how could you have said something like that?"
While continuously exploiting Kiana's guilt, Qin Mo also secretly bolstered the credibility of his own words.
After all, no one knew what happened back then, and the real Kiana, Durandal, had also lost her memory.
Even if someone brought it up later, he could just say it was something children say.
Besides, Siegfried couldn't possibly watch his daughter's every word and action every day.
And Cecilia was Schicksal's strongest Valkyrie, so it was normal for Kiana to aspire to her mother's profession.
"I'm sorry, I really forgot."
Kiana finally realized she had been tricked, but inwardly, she was convinced that Qin Mo truly knew her from before her amnesia.
"But it wasn't on purpose. I don't have any memories before I was eight."
"How can that be!?"
Qin Mo put on a touching performance of someone who knew about his friend's amnesia. "So you and Uncle Siegfried moved to the Far East... That's good, a new beginning isn't bad either."
Kiana shook her head. "No, we used to live in Siberia. Later, my old man disappeared, and I've been looking for news about him everywhere. I heard there were some clues in Chang Kong City recently, so I came. Do you live here? Do you have any clues about my old man?"
"Huh? Uncle Siegfried..."
Qin Mo shook his head. "I've been in Chang Kong City for almost half a year, and I haven't seen him."
"But..." He looked at the spot where the Honkai Beast had disappeared. "I've suddenly noticed Honkai Beasts appearing recently, so I came to deal with them."
"I think something might have really come to Chang Kong City. After all, there haven't been any Honkai Beasts here before."
Actually, this was his first time dealing with a Honkai Beast, but that didn't stop him from boasting. After all, he didn't know if Honkai Beasts had appeared before, did he?
"I see. I only came to Chang Kong City today and immediately detected Honkai reactions. I thought they appeared here often."
"Then where are you planning to stay? Or are you just passing through and will leave soon?"
"A place to stay... I haven't decided yet. I investigated some clues before, and my old man seems to be related to a school called Senba Academy. I plan to try and enroll today."
Senba Academy had already missed the enrollment season, but it was currently winter break, and school would start in two or three days. With some effort, enrollment would still be possible.
Qin Mo didn't know how Kiana originally enrolled, but since he was here...
"I know Senba Academy, but the enrollment season has already passed. I can take you there, but you'll have to figure out how to enroll yourself."
"As for a place to stay, there are people renting out rooms near my place. You can go and take a look."
"Okay, thanks!"
For the first time, Kiana felt it was good to have someone she knew helping her.
It really was true: rely on parents at home, rely on friends when out. If she had to do it herself, just finding the way would take half a day.
Qin Mo didn't introduce Kiana to Mei. Firstly, it would be difficult to explain, and secondly, there was no need to introduce them now.
As a frequent visitor to Senba Academy, Qin Mo only took Kiana to the school gate. He wanted to prevent the school from rejecting Kiana's enrollment because of his involvement. After all, as the only person by Raiden Mei's side, many people disliked Qin Mo and would report him to teachers or the student council. However, even the security guards hired by Raiden Mei's family couldn't catch Qin Mo, so these students were even less capable.
Still, his "bad reputation" had been noted by these people.
Qin Mo didn't know how Kiana managed it, but she came out in less than an hour, carrying a school uniform. It was obvious she had succeeded.
"Let's go, I'll take you to see where you can stay."
Without asking further questions, Qin Mo led Kiana towards his place.
"En!"
Carrying the newly acquired school uniform, Kiana nodded and followed Qin Mo's steps.

Chapter 7: Luck Absorption
Finding a place to stay wasn't difficult. Qin Mo lived in an apartment building. Chang Kong City wasn't a densely populated city, so there were quite a few rooms for rent on the same floor.
Although the rooms in this apartment building weren't large, Kiana had slept under bridges while wandering, so it wasn't a problem.
However, after finding a place, an unexpected situation arose while renting it.
"Sorry! Qin Mo, can you lend me some money?"
Qin Mo was stunned as he looked at Kiana, who had her hands clasped together. "What's going on? You came to rent a place without money?"
She didn't seem like it before. If Kiana had no money, she would have shown it.
"No... it's just that my card has been frozen for some reason."
Kiana took out a black card and said dejectedly.
Although Siegfried had disappeared and left Kiana alone, he had still left her with assets. After all, Kaslanas were big eaters, and if Kiana wandered alone, she might starve to death at any moment.
Siegfried and Cecilia's salaries at Schicksal were not low, and over the years, they had accumulated considerable wealth.
Frozen...
Looking at the black card, Qin Mo thought of something. He remembered Siegfried mentioning a long time ago online that Kiana's father hadn't been found, and he had indulged in the gentle embrace of St. Freya. He wondered if anyone had ever answered back then that Siegfried had always been following Kiana, protecting her in secret, but they just didn't meet. That's why Kiana couldn't find Siegfried.
And Kiana's bank card was frozen right after she finished enrolling.
Qin Mo knew without thinking that Kiana must have spent money to get herself into Senba Academy.
And as soon as Siegfried knew Kiana had enrolled, he froze the card to ensure she wouldn't have enough funds to continue wandering.
Qin Mo had always wondered why Kiana, who was wandering everywhere, had enrolled and started attending Senba Academy.
Perhaps this was the truth: it wasn't that she didn't want to leave, but that she had no money to leave at the time. By the time she saved up money, the Great Honkai had already erupted.
Siegfried had gone to great lengths to let Kiana have a campus life.
In the end, Qin Mo still didn't refuse Kiana's request, otherwise, Kiana would have to live rough again during this period.
"Thank you, Qin Mo. I'll treat you to a meal."
"Do you have money..."
Kiana suddenly remembered she had no money at all and chuckled sheepishly.
"Here, use this first. Figure out how to make money yourself. I have some things to do."
Qin Mo took out over a dozen ten-thousand-yuan bills and handed them to Kiana.
"Ah, I'm so embarrassed..."
True friendship is found in times of trouble. Although Kiana didn't remember Qin Mo, she felt he was someone she could rely on; he truly stepped up when needed.
"Alright, you keep it for now. If you really want to thank me, just do me a favor tomorrow."
"A favor? What kind of favor?"
Qin Mo didn't answer, waving his hand. "You'll know tomorrow. It's just a small thing, I have to go now."
He really did have to go. Because a new mission had refreshed today, Qin Mo had told Mei he had something to do in the morning. After all, regarding Honkai Beasts, even though he had made a lot of preparations, who knew if any accidents might happen.
After a hurried farewell to Kiana, Qin Mo went downstairs to the flower shop and bought a bouquet of baby's breath before heading to Mei's place.
He knocked on Mei's door again. Seeing Mei open it, Qin Mo handed her the bouquet he was holding.
"Please go out with me."
"Come in quickly, dinner will be ready soon."
Now, Qin Mo didn't need to force the flowers on her. Mei naturally accepted the bouquet and, after entering the room, placed it in a vase that had already been prepared.
Qin Mo also changed into the slippers that had been prepared at the entrance and walked in.
This had been happening for a month. Throughout the entire winter break, Qin Mo visited every day, performing their usual routine as if by unspoken agreement. Mei no longer gave a direct response to Qin Mo's confessions, and Qin Mo never asked for one either.
Qin Mo had almost forgotten that this was a world affected by Honkai. He even wished for things to continue like this forever.
Until Kiana arrived. This served as a reminder to Qin Mo that the main storyline was about to begin.
He didn't remember the exact date of the Third Honkai Outbreak, but since Kiana was here, it meant it wasn't far off. He needed to prepare as quickly as possible. Fortunately, after completing tomorrow's mission, he would have enough for a ten-pull, which was a hundred draws on the item pool. He was guaranteed to get an S-rank item.
After having dinner with Mei, chatting, and watching TV for a while, Qin Mo left Mei's home.
Upon returning home, he didn't seek out Kiana. Instead, he began researching his own System at home.
