The Truth Behind the Nurturing Beast Pappu Disaster (A Request for Monthly Votes at the Start of the Month)
Wu Pifu felt a slight pressure.
This cold-looking, long-haired young man was a standard martial combatant. Perhaps he was not a martial artist like Wu Pifu and had never studied National Arts or anything of the sort, but his combat experience was almost second only to Wu Pifu's.
Under the swelling of this unknown power, Wu Pifu watched as his strength expanded crazily by geometric multiples. It was not merely his displayed strength—even the vitality Wu Pifu sensed was wildly expanding. By the time he exchanged blows with Wu Pifu for the first time, he had reached the Human Immortal level. Within five seconds, he advanced to the middle stage of the Human Immortal level. At that point, the intensity of his vitality surpassed Wu Pifu's for the first time.
An expansion in strength could still be understood. There were many ways to rapidly grow stronger. Even Wu Pifu himself could produce an immediate qualitative change in strength by stacking multiple supernatural paths. Or one could use forbidden methods to drain one's life and time, which could likewise bring about a qualitative transformation in power.
But an expansion of vitality was utterly inconceivable.
Just as Beelzebub had said before, even the supernatural paths of the Dream World had underlying logic and followed certain fundamental laws. Power could not come from nowhere; there was always an exchange. The True Martial Lineage used one's own qi and blood—eat more, eat better things, and accumulation could be accelerated. Other supernatural paths were no different. Whether one accumulated strength through painstaking effort, relied on heavenly treasures, took crooked paths such as absorbing yin energy and souls, or signed some kind of contract with a more powerful higher existence, there was always a traceable source.
There could not possibly be vitality expanding for no reason!
