"What's this special two-player mode the boss mentioned?"
Wang Dong rubbed her hands excitedly as she looked at the split-screen display. On the left was the mighty, imposing Kratos, while on the right was the slight little boy with a bow on his back, Atreus.
"Yuhao, how should we divide this up?" Wang Dong turned and asked, her large pink-blue eyes plainly saying, "I want to be the main carry."
Huo Yuhao smiled helplessly. Knowing his own strengths, he pointed at Atreus on the right. "You control Kratos. That big guy suits a strong attack-type like you. I'll play Atreus and handle support and puzzles."
"At least you know your place!" Wang Dong chuckled as she unceremoniously chose Kratos. "Watch this young master carry you! Those skeleton soldiers? One axe each!"
The game began.
[Lake of the Nine]
This was the grandest open area in God of War 4. After the water level dropped, the massive Temple of Tyr emerged, surrounded by high-level monsters and complex mechanisms.
"Charge!"
The Kratos controlled by Wang Dong rushed forward like an unbridled bull at the sight of red dots.
"Take my axe! And take my shield!"
On-screen, Kratos swung the Leviathan Axe, sending ice shards flying as he chopped down the two undead warriors before him.
"Wang Dong! Watch your back!" Huo Yuhao suddenly called out.
From his perspective, he could clearly see a heavily armored undead raising a two-handed greatsword as it silently crept up behind Kratos. The sword rose high, and a red attack warning circle flashed.
"Stop yelling! I'm in the middle of a combo!" Wang Dong was caught up in the slaughter and paid no heed to Huo Yuhao's warning.
Squelch!
The greatsword came down.
