Naruto followed Tsuru into the Fleet Admiral's Office, looking around.
The room was large, with one wall entirely covered in bookshelves and another featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that offered a view of the entire Marineford harbor.
Naruto didn't stand on ceremony; he pulled out the chair in front of the desk and sat down, while Kuina stood behind him.
Tsuru stood across the desk, was silent for a few seconds, and then spoke slowly.
Her tone carried an apology.
"Lord Naruto, I am truly sorry."
"As for this matter, we marines failed to investigate the situation clearly before issuing the Bounty Poster, and we even let you be watched by so many people in the square."
"On behalf of the marines, I apologize to you."
Naruto waved his hand. "Doesn't matter."
Tsuru furrowed her brow slightly, seeming to find Naruto's overwhelming magnanimity somewhat unreal.
Naruto glanced at Tsuru. "If not for that little show just now, when you marines talked with me, it wouldn't necessarily have been honest."
"Now that the Three Admirals are all laid out, you know very well what level I'm at, so naturally your speech won't beat around the bush."
"This is pretty good."
Tsuru opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but swallowed it back.
These words were too straightforward, so straightforward that they left her not knowing how to respond.
Yet it was indeed the truth.
Naruto had knocked down the Three Admirals in front of all of Marineford, so when the marines looked at him now, it was impossible for them not to be cautious.
With strength placed right there, any polite formalities and probing appeared superfluous.
Just then, the door was pushed open, and Sengoku walked in with his marine coat draped over his shoulders, his expression very heavy.
Three people followed
