Kizaru could not wait to ask, "Naruto, how did you walk on the sea just now?"
"That's one way to use Chakra."
"It lets you walk on the sea, on walls, and up tree trunks as easily as you would on level ground."
Kizaru looked astonished.
Chakra sure is convenient!
If I could do that, I'd never have to worry about falling into the sea again.
At his current level of strength, that was practically impossible, but having another option never hurt.

Naruto walked over to an open patch of ground.
He drew a breath, puffed out his chest, and breathed a stream of flame ahead of him.

A huge fireball burst from his mouth, sending a scorching wave of heat outward.

The fireball struck a boulder. Its surface instantly turned to glass, and cracks spread across it.
Firelight flashed in Kizaru's sunglasses.
His mouth fell slightly open.
Naruto was not finished.
He turned in another direction and thrust his right hand forward.

A terrifying gale erupted from his palm.
The wind howled, uprooting trees ahead of him and gouging a trench into the ground.
The trench grew deeper and wider until it reached the island's edge. Everything in its path was blown away.
Behind Naruto, the trailing gusts whipped Kizaru's clothes.
Kizaru stared at the trench in silence.
Naruto raised his hand again, gathering lightning in his palm.
Blue arcs danced around his hand, then shot out in every direction.
"Lightning Release!"
Lightning swept across the entire island. Trees exploded where it struck.
Where it hit the ground, the earth turned black.
Arcs crackled through the air with a piercing snap.
Earth Release came next.
Naruto tapped his foot against the ground.
