Communicating with Luffy
"No trouble, no trouble!"
Little Eight waved his hand, keeping his voice very low. "Drink, let's drink first."
Shakky carried over a few drinks, bending down to place them on the table.
She set the cups down and said in a voice only Little Eight could hear:
"Those people at the bar, don't provoke them!"
Little Eight nodded, his face turning pale.
Luffy did not notice any of this at all.
He took a sip of juice, swung his legs, and looked around in all directions.
His gaze swept around in a circle, finally landing on the three people in front of the bar.
An older man with blonde hair, wearing sunglasses and a yellow-striped suit.
A young man with black hair and black eyes, with a little girl beside him and a grey sword leaning against his waist.
Luffy tilted his head, then grinned broadly, stood up, and waved as he shouted:
"Hey, hello there!"
"My name is Monkey D. Luffy!"
"I'm the man who's going to become the Pirate King!"
The entire bar went silent for a fraction of a second.
Shakky closed her eyes and let out a sigh.
What was meant to come had come; there was no stopping it.
Kizaru held his teacup and glanced at Luffy.
Then he turned back, took a sip of tea, and muttered:
"As expected of Vice Admiral Garp's grandson!"
His voice was not loud, but everyone could hear it in the quiet bar.
Luffy had sharp ears and bright eyes, bounding over to the edge of the bar in a few strides and leaning right in front of Kizaru:
"Mister, do you know my grandpa?"
Kizaru nodded, putting down his teacup. "I do. Old Garp and I are colleagues."
Luffy blinked, tilting his head to think
