He had known for some time that the ability each Arcane Scholar gained differed according to what they experienced in the Whispering Trial.
Even so, its description startled him.

The four-headed, two-winged creature surfaced in his memory again.

"I can probably only use it once or twice, but it must pack a punch." Faintly astonished, Su Chen did not dare try again. Instead, he prepared to bring the Azure-Scale Armor under his control.
Once he chose it, his mental power flowed out and gradually permeated the armor covering his body.
He immediately felt as though he could move it like an extension of himself. Pulling his clothes aside, he saw the scales begin to flow, clinking against one another as they gathered in one spot and layered themselves together.
