Seeing a few nearby soldiers standing guard over the Space Gate with blank looks on their faces, Alvin shook his head. He ignored the country bumpkins who had never seen anything like it, then waved at Pepper, who stood outside a tent in the distance. "Hey, beautiful! Don't you think you two are being a little too sweet? This is Africa. It's really not the place for baby Morgan."
As he spoke, Alvin hurried over. He grinned at Pepper, who had a headscarf tied around her head and looked like a housewife, then leaned down and pinched little Morgan's cheek. "You really shouldn't have come. The battlefield is a man's domain..."
