The homeless man was stunned by Alvin's actions. He had no idea what was going on.
When Alvin turned toward him with a "fierce" expression, the homeless man raised his hands almost instinctively and cried out between coughs, "Don't—cough, cough—don't..."
Alvin watched as the little fly struggled and rolled around by the homeless man's feet. Then the homeless man, who had been shouting, jerked as if electrocuted, froze for a moment, and collapsed to the ground, green light glowing across his face...
Seeing the little fly quickly lose its vitality too, Alvin hurriedly dispersed the Venomous Flower Vine creeping through the sewers.
The poisonous mist released by the Venomous Flower Vine had little effect on these flies. Those touched by the mist instinctively fled the sewers.
They wouldn't live long, but the poison they carried would kill anyone who came near them.
