With "Ghost" appearing and disappearing to launch attacks, Scott Lang had nearly been injured several times...
The men of Hell's Kitchen were hardly cut out to be bodyguards. They had no reason to go out of their way to protect Scott Lang; in fact, they would've been happy to see the unlucky guy take a few more hits and keep "Ghost" occupied a little longer.
That was because "Ghost" was genuinely difficult to deal with. Lin Shaoqing, whose powers were the most effective against her, had tried several times and managed to inflict serious injuries, but in the end she still escaped.
In the end, it took Dr. Yinsen to bring her in. He used the Attilan Force Field to seal off a stretch of street, gradually squeezing "Ghost's" room to maneuver until, after considerable effort, he finally caught the dangerous woman.
In theory, they should've killed "Ghost" the moment they caught her. But Dr. Yinsen's curiosity had gotten the better of him. He wanted to find something more valuable on her...
At the very least, her White Combat Suit was valuable. It could help guide the energy of the Quantum Realm.

He was sporting a black eye and bruises, enough to make anyone wince, but he was still wearing something like a Bluetooth earpiece as he directed a large group of giant ants to clear the floor of the laboratory Hank Pym had picked out.
The giant ants were strong. Their mandibles could easily crush the old concrete, and they carried construction debris several times their own size off to one side.
The whole colony was also remarkably well
