The Fierce Battle at the Police Station
Duke rarely found himself in such a frustrating situation...
They were pinned down at the police station, unable to move...
That wouldn't normally have been a problem. With the police station's walls to rely on, Duke and his men even had the advantage of the terrain.
But when they came up against a crack shot, everything changed.
Duke had been a little overconfident this time. He hadn't even brought a helicopter...
Facing the enemy's elusive mortar fire, he was beginning to lose the initiative.
He quickly stuck his head out to survey a gap in the wall blasted open by a mortar shell, and promptly took out an enemy.
Then he heard three deadly whistling sounds. With no other choice, he clutched his head and shouted, "Down! Mortars!"
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Three more explosions...
The enemy seemed to have planned it all out, deliberately targeting the weaker parts of the small police station.
The three shells seemed to have eyes, striking several offices on the first floor with pinpoint accuracy.
The blasts may have damaged the structure of the unfortunate little building. The alarm system, which hadn't worked in ages, began blaring wildly.
Barbara Moore and Brian Mills, two seasoned retired agents, dealt with several agents hiding on the second floor, ready to ambush them...
Then they grabbed a pair of large-caliber sniper rifles from the police armory, headed up to the roof, and began searching for the dangerous long-range gun that seemed to have a mind of its own.
Shack, the head jailer in the police station basement, had no choice but to open all the cells and let the prisoners out, so they wouldn't be buried there if the building collapsed.
As they fled, the burly jailer grabbed two heavily tattooed
