Alvin listened to Hank Pym's explanation and looked at him in confusion.
Ever since they first met, the old man had never struck Alvin as generous.
His inexplicable show of concern now seemed a little suspicious.
Unless Ava was crucial to helping him find his wife, Alvin couldn't believe Hank Pym would feel sorry for the "Ghost" who had hunted his family to the ends of the earth.
Alvin sensed something was off, but couldn't figure out what. He said seriously, "I support you in your search for your wife. From what she's been through, she sounds like a heroic woman.
"I don't mind 'trying and failing.' I don't even mind 'standing by and doing nothing while someone dies,' since this 'Ghost' is your enemy.
"But if you use the 'Ghost' and then fail to cure her...
"I don't want to threaten you, but I need you to know that Hell's Kitchen has its limits."
Hank Pym's eyes flickered strangely for a moment before he said, "A little over a month ago, I opened the Quantum Tunnel.
"In that instant, two people became quantum-entangled with my wife.
"One was Scott Lang. The other was Ava.
"When I open the Quantum Tunnel again, Ava will resonate with my wife.
"I can follow the reaction between the entangled particles and find my wife precisely."
Hank Pym spread his hands. "I can't promise anything.
"All I can promise is that I'll do everything I can to find a way to treat Ava.
"In fact, the moment the Quantum Tunnel opens, her condition will improve."
Looking into Hank Pym's somewhat dim eyes, Alvin instinctively felt that the old man wasn't telling them everything.
He'd said that two people had become quantum-entangled with his wife. If this was so important, why hadn't he suggested keeping
