The spread of the giant pythons was truly a disaster for Borneo.
The world's third-largest island was divided among three countries. By a strange coincidence, the militaries of all three were fairly weak.
If the giant pythons were allowed to roam freely, who knew how many people and animals would die?
They already looked ravenous. If they were allowed to keep multiplying, they might rewrite the entire ecosystem of Borneo.

As he watched the dozen-meter-long pythons in the river, Alvin shook his head. "Killing these things isn't difficult, but where are we supposed to find the manpower?"
Stark fired a Pulse Cannon from the sky, killing a giant python. After a moment's hesitation, she said, "Notify that bastard Russell!
"Dealing with mutated animals is his job!"
Then Stark said to JARVIS, "JARVIS, notify the Malaysian and Indonesian governments.
"Tell them that a biological experiment in central Borneo has caused an ecological disaster.
"Have them send troops to protect the civilians here..."
Before Stark could finish, Alvin cut in. "These pythons are highly nutritious.
"Tell them we'll buy them for a thousand U.S. dollars apiece.
"If they're willing to do some basic processing, I can add another thousand."
JARVIS quickly sent a notice to the two governments, then asked curiously, "What about Brunei?
"Shouldn't we notify them too?"
Stark replied flippantly, "What for?
"Their entire country probably doesn't have as many police officers as the Young Women at Yad Nightclub...
"Notify them, then tell Russell to come in from the Brunei side."
