Alvin pointed at himself in surprise and looked at the "Corn God." "You mean me?"
The "Corn God" stared at him with hollow eyes. "I've been waiting for someone to break the seal and wake me.
And now I've found him!"
The murals lining the pyramid had shown Alvin exactly what these so-called gods really were.
Hearing the "Corn God" say he had broken the seal, Alvin gripped the handle of his Battle Axe and smiled. "Honestly, waking up isn't all it's cracked up to be. The world outside is too complicated, and people have all gone rotten.

I can find you another pyramid. Or, if that doesn't work, I can get people to donate money to build you one."
The "Corn God" grinned, shedding a shower of dry, cracked fragments. "I've awakened because this world needs me to save it.
Kukulkan is my mount, and wind, rain, thunder, and lightning are my weapons.

Alvin glanced at Stark in astonishment. "Has this guy lost his mind?
Have the Maya gods lasted this long by talking nonsense?"
As Alvin spoke, he whistled. The Flying Sword "East Wind" became a streak of light and pierced the "Corn God's" forehead.
The Flying Sword, bearing the Rune "Famine," blew the "Corn God's" head clean off.
But the "Corn God" seemed completely unfazed by the terrifying Magic damage from "Famine."
His body crumbled into fine sand. The sand stirred on the ground, then began to gather into a human shape again.
This time, though, it came together more finely than before. At the very least, the bumps on his face were much more distinct.
