When Alvin and Valkyrie walked out of the clothing store, they drew everyone's attention.

Many people didn't recognize him as the famous Manhattan Axe at all.

The return of the Russian disguise, combined with the way Westerners and Europeans struggled to tell Asian faces apart, allowed Alvin to appear before everyone in a different guise.

In a refined black suit with a slightly vintage look and hair restyled with pomade, Alvin had shed his former rugged farmer style and become a freshly minted super hunk.

Long legs, a tall frame, perfectly sculpted muscles, and a shirt unbuttoned at the collar, revealing a glimpse of his solid chest.

The old man at the clothing store was clearly an expert. He knew how to match clothes to show off a person's best features without looking the least bit tacky.

Feeling the women around him casting admiring glances his way, Alvin looked himself over, then said to Valkyrie, "Do I look especially handsome now?

I feel like those women are looking at me as if they want to eat me alive!"

Valkyrie gave Alvin a scornful look. "No, you've got it wrong!

You're only worth eighty bucks right now, because that's all you spent on this outfit.

I may be an alien, but I can tell that old man was a master of aesthetics.

And you were only willing to spend eighty bucks!"

With a grin, Alvin caught a girl who had "nearly" fallen. She pinched his palm twice and slipped him a note, but none of it put a damper on his good mood.

When he noticed another girl trying to "nearly fall," Alvin cheerfully moved to the inside of the sidewalk and, with no regard for chivalry, shoved Valkyrie, back in her Valkyrie uniform, to the outside.
