Alvin breathed a small sigh of relief.

If the Ancient One said that, then her condition couldn't be too serious.

She was the true guardian deity of Earth!

In a sense, it was only because she existed that Earth had maintained its independence in the Solar System for the past several thousand years.

Seeing how relaxed the Ancient One's soul seemed, Alvin smiled and asked, "How can I help you?"

The Ancient One glanced at Odin, whose face was full of envy, and smiled. "I told you—we have room to make mistakes now."

As she spoke, the Ancient One removed the Eye of Agamotto, which held the Time Stone, from around her neck.

She handed the Time Stone to Alvin and said with a smile, "The Stones are condensed Cosmic Consciousness.

"I used to think of them as weapons against evil. Now I realize they're manifestations of Cosmic Consciousness—and, more than that, signposts."

Alvin hadn't quite understood. Looking curiously at the Eye of Agamotto in his hands, he asked, "What do you mean? You want me to destroy it?"

The Ancient One smiled and shook her head. "No. Destroying it would only bring about an even greater disaster.

"The Eye of Agamotto is a divine artifact created by the previous Sorcerer Supreme. It can suppress the Time Stone's influence on its wielder and turn it into a weapon.

"I need to find it a suitable Heir..."

As she spoke, the Ancient One looked at Alvin's strange expression and smiled. "Of course, not you!

"You don't even understand what being a Mage means..."

Alvin angrily looked at Odin beside him and grumbled, "This nun came to ask me for help, and she still has to insult me?"
