Shang-Chi faced Alvin's question and said bluntly, "What else can I do?
"I'm going to beat the hell out of Johnny Storm!
"Nobody would target Jessica for no reason. Somebody must be trying to get at Johnny Storm, and Jessica just ended up caught in the crossfire."
Shang-Chi gritted his teeth. "First I'll beat the hell out of Johnny Storm, then I'll drag out whoever's behind this and kill him. I'll burn him as an offering to Johnny, just to avenge him.
"FUCK, that guy's nothing but trouble. He's the reason you went to prison, and he's the one who got Jessica into trouble twice.
"A guy like that is just wasting food by staying alive. Better off dead!"
Alvin looked at Shang-Chi in "shock"—not at how he planned to handle the problem, but at how "clearheaded" he was.
The kid had spotted the problem at a glance. His solution, though, was to sweep everyone up and kill them all. That was so quintessentially Hell's Kitchen!
The only issue was that if he killed Johnny Storm, how was he going to find the people behind it?
Alvin glanced at the smiling Raymond and applauded Shang-Chi. "Well said. That's exactly what we should do?

Shang-Chi pointed at Raymond, entirely confident. "I can't, obviously, but Raymond definitely can."

Alvin burst out laughing and slapped the bar, calling out to the neighbors and customers around them. "Drinks are on me today! We're celebrating our hero Shang-Chi 'growing up.'
"From now on, treat him with a little respect. The guy's not only got fists now, but he's finally got his head on straight, too."
