Rocket Raccoon's unrestrained urge to blow things up had not only destroyed the abandoned neighborhood, but also damaged the nearby communities.
Harlem wasn't exactly a nice place, but if you wrecked someone's home, you had to pay for it.
You were a mercenary chasing money, not a cop risking your life on a six-thousand-dollar monthly salary. If you caused damage, you were responsible for it.
When Alvin returned to the restaurant, John Wick was drinking alone at the bar. Sam, the restaurant's only waiter, was pouring drinks so fast he could barely keep up with John's drinking.
But conscientious Sam still wouldn't hand John the bottle. Instead, he carefully kept track of the drinks in a little notebook. After all, Whiskey was charged by the glass.
By the time Alvin walked in, Sam had counted up to nine and was about to mark down the tenth drink for the unlucky fellow.
Looking disheveled, Rocket Raccoon dragged Groot along, who was temporarily working as a cleaner to earn candy money. He rambled on about wanting to go back to making a living in space. New York was too scary.
