Barry rubbed his hands together and said with an awkward smile, "Principal Alvin, I, uh..."

Alvin frowned at Barry. "You're obviously not here to see me. I can tell from your face that it's nothing good. Who are you looking for?

"Don't tell me this is about Fox. We're getting married soon, and any problem is going to send my blood pressure through the roof. I might do something irrational."

Barry jumped back in fright, then said with a bitter smile, "Well, the Boss Lady and I were 'colleagues' once..."

Alvin frowned and patted Barry on the shoulder. "Come with me. Fox and the others are rescuing innocent women. You can tell me what's going on."

Barry nodded helplessly and followed Alvin to the open-air bar in the hotel's rooftop garden.

When the bartender saw Alvin arrive, she hurried over with two glasses of Hell's Kitchen's local specialty: whiskey.

Alvin smiled and thanked her, then pushed one of the glasses of whiskey toward Barry...

Seeing the man's troubled expression, Alvin sighed. "Have the Assassins League come looking for you?

"If they're here to wish Fox and me well, they're welcome.

"If they need something, just tell me. If it's not too much trouble, I'll give them a hand.

"After all, they're practically Fox's family, even if Sloane did some seriously messed-up things. Fox has already forgiven him..."

Barry took a big gulp of whiskey to calm his nerves, then said to Alvin, "Do you remember the symbol on the Loom? Sloane and the others found those people."

Alvin frowned and thought for a moment. He always remembered what had happened to Fox vividly.

At first, Fox had been nothing more than a brainwashed master assassin. When she discovered that her life was a lie, she had nearly fallen apart.
