The con artist had successfully used Alvin's name to make herself the hotel's most noteworthy guest.
She'd taken advantage of the time difference to pass off a false order, getting the hotel to prepare the venue for Stark's party overnight while establishing herself as "Alvin's party representative."
Terry, the casino owner, couldn't believe Sophie had formed such a close relationship with Alvin after just one meeting. But it was perfectly reasonable if she was merely a party companion, or a woman hoping to win Mr. Battleaxe's favor.
