It wasn't because Alvin was being overbearing. Loki had simply conjured dozens of hulking monsters to stand guard by the pool, all to look after his new son.

A row of three-meter-tall, cigar-smoking fat demons stood there, smoke curling from their nostrils. The guests at Caesars Palace had no choice but to change their plans and skip the pool.

A group of girls had seen Alvin and the others come downstairs in their swimsuits and planned to put on their sexiest swimwear to flirt with them. Now they could only sigh sadly.

This had been their last chance to get close to Manhattan Axe and Iron Man, and a bunch of fat bodyguards had ruined it.

Loki had mastered the art of sucking up. He knew there was no point trying to curry favor with Alvin, so instead he had a group of obese Demon Realm gangsters follow Nick and the other kids. He'd even put on the flashy background music "Battle Without Honor or Humanity" as they escorted the children into the pool area.

Because of those terrifying bodyguards, the ice cream vendor forgot to collect any money.

With the music blaring, Nick swung his arms and looked regretfully at the empty pool. He shook his head, then turned to Little Harry, whose face was flushed with excitement. "We should go back and come in again through the hotel entrance. I felt so cool just now!"

Before Little Harry could answer, Mindy shot Nick a scornful glance and said, "Sheesh. Your waist isn't even as thick as the hotel security guard's arm..."
