The bar Richard had bought for Kingpin's disabled subordinates was located away from the Las Vegas Strip.
The three disabled men had chosen the place themselves...
Physically speaking, these three men weren't actually disabled.
Kingpin was generous to the men who had been injured while fighting for him. He'd fitted them with Enhanced Prosthetics from Stark Industries, which not only let them live like ordinary people but made them considerably more formidable in a fight.
But they were getting old. They were nearly fifty and still working as gang enforcers, and they really did need to retire. Otherwise, they'd soon be pushed out onto the streets.
These three weren't the brightest, but they had far more experience in the Jianghu than the average person.
They knew full well they had no chance of competing with the bars inside the big hotels, so they chose a bar near the Las Vegas Strip.
People who'd gambled away their money and couldn't afford the hotels' fairly reasonable prices would look for somewhere to drown their sorrows.
It was also a pretty good spot for locals looking for something to do.
The purchase went smoothly. Richard arrived with a million-dollar check and three retired gangsters who looked like they'd tear someone apart. It didn't take much to get the bar's already-struggling owner to sign the transfer agreement.
And just like that, it became Nick and the others' temporary base...

The old Irish-style bar didn't need much renovation. The retired gangsters liked
