Looking at the three presidents' baffling conversation, Alvin fought off sleep and watched the people frolicking by the sea, bored out of his mind.
Just as Alvin was wondering whether leaving would seem rude, Little Ginny came rushing over with both hands wrapped around Hell Dragon's neck, as if she were holding a goose. She sprang into Alvin's arms and said, "Dad, Hela sent me to rescue you..."
Alvin held Little Ginny close and pinched the Demon Dragon's mouth, sparks flying from it. "All right, I'm saved. How about I take you out for some ice cream?"
Little Ginny stared at Alvin. "I want four scoops of ice cream..."
Alvin tossed the Demon Dragon over the railing, then stood up with Little Ginny in his arms. "Four scoops won't be enough. Let's eat every bit of ice cream on the island."
With that, Alvin ignored the presidents' strange expressions. Smiling, he put an arm around his little darling and tried to escape this boring gathering.
President Ellis clearly had something to discuss. There was no way he'd let Alvin leave alone. He stood up with a smile and said to Little Ginny, "I want ice cream too. This time, it's my treat.
"Bring all your little friends over. Tell them the president is buying them ice cream."
Alvin gave President Ellis a scornful look as he circled around, trying to find an opening to talk to him. "Then let's go sit down together...
"Honestly, there's not much use in telling me about a lot of things. Instead of wasting your time with me, you'd be better off talking to Raymond."
