Ever since the North Pole incident, nearly an entire generation of the Demigod race had been wiped out.

The only survivor, Ikaris, had even killed his own companions. If Alvin hadn't used the school's Cradle of Life to reattach his limbs, the guy probably wouldn't have survived either.

Looking at the oddly dressed bunch gathered together, Alvin said helplessly, "Then let's go have a quick chat..."

Ajak was one of the Demigods who had survived the North Pole incident. As their liaison, she watched Alvin slowly approach and said with a smile, "Congratulations!"

Alvin shook his head noncommittally at Ajak's congratulations and waved a hand. "I'm glad you came to Fox and my wedding. I think Fox is very happy to receive your well wishes."

Ajak could clearly sense Alvin's wariness toward them—not because he was afraid, but because of their special status.

As Fox's family in all but name, Ajak had some reservations about Fox's independence from the entire Demigod system. However, she understood Alvin's power and really didn't want things to get ugly on his wedding day.

She motioned for the tall, strong man beside her to stay quiet, then smiled at Alvin. "Tina is one of us. We're happy that she's found happiness."

Alvin glanced at the handsome man behind Ajak, who was watching him intently. Then he exchanged a look with Fox and smiled. "I thought they'd warn me to treat you well."

Fox playfully slapped Alvin on the arm. "This is Achilles, a newly awakened Demigod. To fill the vacancies left by the deaths of several Demigods, he had to awaken early..."

Alvin knew of the legendary Achilles. The Trojan Horse, right? A Super Warrior who was handsome from every angle...
