Alvin glanced disdainfully at the unfortunate Black Dragon. He didn't bother with it, instead checking on the few unlucky souls who'd been sprayed by the White Snake...
When he saw that they had finally recovered from the poison, Alvin breathed a sigh of relief.
It had been a perfectly good transaction, but the people inspecting the goods had nearly died. That would've been a terrible story to tell.
Gripping the Dragon Talisman, he summoned a torrent of water to rinse the entire hall. Then he said to the few people who'd narrowly escaped death, "Go find a room and clean yourselves up. If you think you can manage it, come back and help wash Gonggong."
As he spoke, Alvin watched the old professor approach and smiled. "It really is Gonggong, and he died near the Gonggong Horde."
The old professor ignored what Alvin had said. He glanced at the Black Dragon, which was writhing as it tried to approach the Dragon Talisman, then stared at Alvin's wrist and said excitedly, "So they're a Green Snake and a White Snake, not one Green Snake.
"What a cunning scheme. What a vicious Green Snake..."
He pointed at the Black Dragon, which seemed on the verge of slipping back into unconsciousness, and said, "Save it quickly! The Black Dragon dwells in the north. It's the essence of Gui Water, a spirit of heaven and earth.
"It was Gonggong's steed. If you can subdue the two snakes, you can subdue the Black Dragon too. Don't let it die! It may be even older than the Beast
