While Ginny and the others were locked in fierce battle in the Underworld, Battle Axe School was peaceful and quiet.
A young teacher led a group of new students along the school building...
As they passed a corner, the young teacher pointed to a silver brick in the wall and said proudly, "I stole my 'future' from right here back then. Now I've brought it back."
Straightening up, he pointed at the colorful wall above them and said proudly, "Back then, Principal Alvin let us take one thing from the school. Most of us chose a brick from the wall. It made the school building look ugly, but we all thought we could bring our bricks back someday, replacing them with better materials and carving our names into them to prove we'd once been part of this place."
A chubby boy looked up at the school building's enormous outer wall. Pointing to the sparse patches of exposed white in the middle, and to an ornate golden brick at the center, he asked curiously, "Teacher, what happened there?"
The young teacher looked over, fell silent for a moment, then smiled. "The one in the center was brought back by our upperclassman Zack. He cast it from the trophy he won for four consecutive NFL championships.
"The blank spaces around it were left by our upperclassmen on the Wolves. They're going to team up against Zack this year to fill the wall with honors. This year's NFL season is sure to be especially exciting."
The young teacher ruffled the boy's hair and said, "Of course, not everyone gets to come back. This world has never been smooth sailing. Hell's Kitchen can help you get used to adversity, but it can't guarantee you'll overcome it.
"Some people lose, and lose badly!"
