The Sovereign, a golden race that called itself "perfect," had the most powerful energy systems in the galaxy, along with a fleet of flying ships.
Their Titanium Crystal Batteries, which could absorb energy from Cosmic Rays, combined with unmanned combat Airships capable of fighting from several light-years away, had allowed them to establish a solid defensive line and halt Thanos's armies.
Unfortunately, these golden people were unbelievably arrogant. They refused aid from the Kree, Xandar, and numerous other powerful races, intent on testing their supposedly "fearless" army against Thanos.
The results didn't look too good...
