Trap? ### I didn't know whether Alvin had done it or if the Sanctuary really was wrecked.

The transparent shield at the front of the enormous ship suddenly shattered, exposing Thanos and the others in the command room to Nidavellir's atmosphere.

Looking at Alvin, perched on a boulder and leaning forward slightly, his left hand supporting his chin as he waved hello with his right, Ebony Maw's narrow eyes suddenly widened. "Alvin—he's actually still alive?"

Thanos watched Alvin's relaxed demeanor and suddenly smiled. "He's inviting us..."

Seeing Thanos pick up his enormous sword, Ebony Maw swallowed. "Master, it's a trap!"

Thanos smiled. "Of course it's a trap. His disappearance was part of it, too.

His disappearance slowed humanity down and pushed the nations of the Milky Way Galaxy right beneath my blade.

Those annoying little bugs have spent more than a decade preparing for this inevitable decisive battle. They did their part..."

Thanos looked down at Ebony Maw, who seemed somewhat panicked, then smiled and patted the heavy armor on his chest. "But so what? I don't care!

Tell our forces to attack those fortresses with everything they have. Bring a few Celestial Warriors. We're going to have a chat with this Alvin...

Alvin sat on the boulder, watching the towering Thanos step out of the Sanctuary's wreckage and head toward him.

Ebony Maw, with his fishlike face, and the several Celestial Warriors standing more than eight meters tall didn't draw much of his attention. Thanos, clad in fearsome armor, held it all.
