Dr. Yinsen had finished the hardest part, so getting Stark to recover faster wouldn't be difficult.

Alvin drove the two of them to his temporary camp, lit a campfire, found a large pot, and made a pot of noodles. Mm~ He'd carried all the supplies himself. How could a Diablo adventurer not have a spatial backpack with dozens of slots?

Alvin and Dr. Yinsen enjoyed their noodles with some canned meat. Stark, on the other hand, had it rough. His body should have been fine by now, and the Corpse-Eater Vine had already closed his wounds. But Alvin wasn't taking any chances, so he gave Stark only a bowl of mushy noodles that looked like someone had already chewed them up. What could you expect when his intestines were damaged?

Stark held his fork and prodded the mushy noodles in his bowl. Watching Alvin and Dr. Yinsen eat, he let out a despairing sigh. He'd made a complete fool of himself today.

Alvin glanced up, caught Stark's expression, and said with a laugh, "Buddy, you should be happy. How many people could survive a situation like yours?"

Stark shot Alvin an irritated look. "If you were me, if you'd been through what I have, how would you feel?"

Alvin thought about it, then answered seriously, "If I were you, I'd start by thanking the man who saved my life. Then I'd offer him something incredibly tempting in exchange for keeping my new nickname to himself. Ha!"

Dr. Yinsen ate his noodles and watched Alvin and Stark trade barbs, finding it amusing. Stark wasn't known for his good temper. Dr. Yinsen had run into him at all sorts of events before, and had never seen him speak to anyone so meekly.

Stark was so annoyed that he stopped talking and shoveled
