The Great Deception

Alvin kept his word. When Erik Bell arrived at the Manor, an enraged Hawkeye was there to greet him...

Alvin watched Hawkeye beat the stomach juices right out of Erik Bell before leading the squinting "Church" into a small bar in the Manor.

He poured "Church" a glass of whiskey and said with a smile, "Looks like you and that guy aren't on the same team. Why bring him here?

"I don't think I have anything to talk about with him!"

"Church" glanced back at the Manor's living room. Hawkeye was swinging his fists and breaking Erik's nose.

"Church" looked at Alvin's odd expression, shook his head with a smile, and said, "He's hard to say no to, and he has no selfish motives.

"We used to be colleagues. At first, I thought he was just a heartless butcher like me, but later I realized he was the purest of us all.

"There aren't many people willing to give everything for this country. He's definitely one of them!"

Alvin shook his head sarcastically. "Give what? Other people's lives?"

"Church" tilted his neck, pressed his lips together, and nodded. "When necessary, he'd give his own, too.

"I used to think I was hard-hearted, but compared to that guy, I still have a ways to go.

"You couldn't guess how many times I've wanted to cut his heart out and take a look."

As he spoke, "Church" pointed at Hawkeye, who was pummeling Erik. "Is that Hawkeye or Aaron?

"I'll bet you a hundred bucks that Erik can convince Aaron, even though he once brought Aaron into the 'Reaper Project' and later issued the order to carry out the 'destruction' protocol."
